Get the OnePlus 11 for its display, performance, OS and support, speakers, charging. Get the Sony Xperia 1 IV for its very different, but also very good display, IP rating, cameras, particularly the selfie. I personally like the OnePlus better, but that is entirely subjective.

HRR means high refre... moreIt took me months to buy a new laptop. Same thing. I could have done with a cheap one. 300 euro or so. But!!!! Came home eith expensive one. Because I got so involved into things like thubderbold portsaus and fast memory and oled screen...
Wanted money. Could gave done without it.
I guess with phone the same. I think it is going to be the oneplus 11. Adjustable refreshrate screen I read...:))))

Those phone sites are funny. Theyvtalk about viewing Angles too. As if I watch my phone in an angle:))) always straight in front of my nose.

I was shocked the time I heard the news that Sony Xperia no longer available in middle east. I like Sony Xperia more than any developer of smart mobile phone. So sad.

[deleted post]I am looking for a new phone though. Batterylife is getting worse.
So I am on phone sites to read a bit. I am thinking about a oneplus 11. Mainly because oc batterylife and fast charging . Cameras ok too I read.
My daughter wants me to but an iPhone but I do not buy American products. As least as possible.
What other phone do you thinknis ok? No xiaomi...had one ...and screen got yellow spots. My wife s phone also.
Advise please. I just take picture make phone xalls and surf on internet. Nothing else. Play chess on chess.com no other games.
I hate being without battery.
Need a strong device . Sturdy one.

Awful pictures...can't understand how is that possible for Sony who makes photo cameras and sensors for so many years.

I was waiting for this thing hoping they would put a proper SoC inside... I'd rather fork out 300€ more for the older 5 IV.

Turn off 120Hz and do not treat your phone as console, then your flagship can last as much as this one.
4-5h SoT is bizarre and that is all users fault, not phone's.

Cosmik, 16 May 2023The competition is so much better than this piece of trash.While at a first glance I would agree with you after a minute or so searching phone reviews on GSMA I can't really tell what would be the competition for this device. Most of the devices that offer better soc are giant devices compared to this phone, they also weigh more. Pixel 7a is one of the few that's close in dimensions but it also weights 20% more and has less battery. None of the devices in the price range have triple sensor stack. It's really weird device.
It has some major omissions such as lack of HRR, 4K recording (due to stupid soc limitation), middle quality main cam hardware quality for the price is mid or low-mid. But on the other hand it has victus glass, IP64, stereo speakers, very bright and quality OLED, telephoto, very little weight and huge battery life.

Processors and refreshrates are for nerds. Real men do not care about that stuff. Most important things is that the phone works. And first thing what vomes in mind is battery... because nothing eorjs without a good battery.
