For someone looking for a phone that lasts longer, the Vivo iQOO Z7 is a worthy contender minus the tele lens. The Malaysian version has a Snapdragon 782G and 12GB ram / 256gb storage, and only at 330 USD. Headphone jacks and microsd combos are rare nowadays. In my opinion, the iQOO completely blows this out of the water.

I was sort of hoping that they would introduce at least the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the 10 V, or at least, 8GB ram or 256GB options, but alas, they obviously don't want people to hold on to the phone for too long before upgrading. These specs may have been midrange in 2021, but we're halfway through 2023, and it's going to start to feel like an entry level experience after a year or so when the hardware cannot keep up.

I bet the device certified with dimensity 8xxx is 10 Plus v .

When you fail to thermal manage a chip like snap695, this is literally a garbage phone.

Yes the battery life is godlike, yes its nice to see a notchless display and ip68 which is non existent at this price point, but everything else is pure disappointment.

Anonymous, 16 May 2023If we look at the prices of 10IV now, you wont need to wait... moreAvoid buying from japan phones! They are hardlocked with their local network & annoying to bypass & can even brick if flashed different region firmware.

2x telephoto is overrated. Most phone cameras can crop from high resolution mode which produces acceptable quality at 2x. No need for separate lens below 3x.

Why would anyone even think about buying 10 V?

                  Dear Sony,
I would love to buy your phone, you do some great stuff. It's a great piece of technology, but it's not usable as a daily, general use, phone. I want something that won't annoy me during usage and that will last me for at least two years, because changing phones is a hassle.
Update the chipset, the charging speed and the screen refresh rate and I'm sold (as long as you don't double the price)

Disappointed. Wanted to get 10 IV, but held on because camera was terrible, hoped for decent update. Love the design (size), feel of it (plastic), battery life and no notch.

                    Don't care much about 60+Hz.

But why downgrade? Increased size, removed notification LED, bad camera, ancient Soc. ...

And all that for such high price.

                    No thank you.

Maybe will hold on for Xperia Ace, but doesn't seem like it will be anything decent if this is how Sony works.

And if you are using protective case it really doesn't matter, it could be made out of wood it wouldn't make a difference. Sounds like a really petty complaint. Plastic backs are superior

Visuth, 16 May 2023once you're using the 90 or 120hz screen, you will not... moreI am using 120 Hz and I go back to 60 Hz without a problem when I want to save some battery. Most of people don't have a problem with it too. People care much more about battery life than screen trust me. Battery is top 3 or even top 2 spec that people care about.

While I am impressed with the battery endurance rating despite sharing the same SoC and battery capacity as last year's model while having a brighter screen, I'm not sure if this is a worthy one-year upgrade over last year's model. Personally speaking, the 2021 Mk3 model still got my vote due to the SoC that can do 4K/30fps video and has USB-C 3.1 with 1440p/60Hz wired video output support.

Kratos-, 16 May 2023Feels like sony's new phones are a bit outdated I'... moreI still take bezel over the notch and punch holes. It gives a much cleaner look to the screen.

Ever since Sony removed the glass back on this model I lost interest in ever buying it. It’s like they don’t want you to buy this phone! It’s already an entry level model priced as a mid ranger and then they had to go and make it feel even cheaper and lighter!

An amazing revamped Xperia 1 mk1. Mines are still working flawlessly and regarding quality in time for battery simply outstanding. Camera have now open api2 and if some troll from here knows to install and use the Hasli Gcam mod, will surely get twice better photos as any Iphone on the market right now. Great device!

My personal preference when choosing a phone is for it to NOT have a punch hole or notch. That's it. That is it.

If it kept the FM radio and the LED and they put in 778G/7 gen+2 it would be selling like hot cakes. Sad that companys dont want to make money anymore
