    I waited a year in the hope this Mark 5 would solve the lame chipset problem. I just cannot be bothered with a phone that kills apps in the backround. It would have been my unicorn which fulfils everything that's rare to get in todays market. Maybe get the Pixel 7a, longer update policy, which I will definitely need, but no audio jack to use my high-end earphones, which is an annoyance. Why using two devices when you could have everything in one? F*ck off Sony

      I do not even know ehat chipset is in my phone. Never noticed any difference. Can someone explain me how I notice the difference? Y

        Too bad no brands wants to make complete midrange.
        That would be like flagship minus the powerful SoC.
        Much better than making midranges with 8+g1 like many chinese phones.

        Flagship body + SD778/D8000 > mid midrange body + 8g2

He selects what cores he wants to test, in this test its only the mid cores, a similar situation to 2x a78 vs 4x a78 in 695 vs 778. Lower core count is only going to have even lower efficiency.

And what proof do you ... moreMan he was comparing middle core 4 vs 3 because A510 is not efficient, A510 use 2W which is lot for a small core, the Reason sd 8 gen 2 got better battery life is because they use 4 middle core instead of 3 in other words 8 gen 2 reduce A510 core hence got battery life.

              And they dont Apply to V8 cores because A55 doesnt have efficiency and power usage issues, it use just 0.5W compare to 2W of A510, Also A78 is more efficient than A710 and comparable to A715.so whatever the case A782}

It would still be expensive you can get Poco F5 pro, A54 Samsung, Pixel 6A/7A etc its tough comoetition.

                      So Sony instead they focus on Niche market, as i said in last thread this phone offer something no phone in market has, Portability and battery life, if someone do field work, they travel a lot or any work where they dont have power or time to charge you only have this phone as option.

                      Since 2017 Sony Mobile get loss year after year, since they change strategy from 2020 they are profitable, revenue isnt much but atleast they get profit now, it works for them, 99% of people even if this phone had sd 778G they wouldnt buy it anyway.

                                Nobody actually needs that, its just that some people want that...
                                And some people claiming one cannot go back to 60 after trying 120...are full of it.

                                I'll be the devls advocate here, and claim the same for 4k video.
                                FullHD is what Im using for 3 yrs now, despite having the 4k option. FHD is stillb excellent and sharp, especially while watching on a mobile screen, quite enough to be excwllent on the big screen also, and files takeup so much less memory space. Im struggling to find a reason or any real advantage in recording my everyday vids in 4k.

                                So ok, people can discuss about price points and feats, this or that, but 120 hz screens and 4k video... nah, people can quite nicely live with their phones without those, and would hardly notice any actual difference.

                                  But after some time I just forgot how 144hz feels like to use, so I don't really miss it.



                                  Especially because I get 13hours SOT on 60hz, and just 8.5h at 144hz.

                                  While 8.5h is still great battery life, why would I shorten my phones battery life cycle by causing more heat to support the higher frequency, and also having faster charging cycles.

                                  If it scrolls smoother or not isn't reason enough for me.

                                  Other than that, Genshin, YouTube, comment writing or generally chatting with people doesn't give much benefit in 144hz.

Oh right, they don’t! Plastic is cheap and tacky and there is no way anyone else these days would make a phone at this price point and not use either Aluminium or Glass. Under normal use Gorilla Glass is just as shatter proof as plastic.

                                      At this price range I expect at least an S778G... and the cameras are somehow too plain. Others are acceptable, if not promising
