Pixel 7a it's a nice phone, one of the best midrangers out there, their real competitors are in house, 6a offers almost the same package for way less and the 7 it's a better phone for the same price. But once it's gets a price cut it will find it's place. Seems like GSMArena's device had some battery problem as it must have a very similar battery endurance as the 7.

I don't know why they didn't compare the image quality to that of the 6a; most reviewers agree that it's not that much better and the regular user won't notice the difference.
I think buying a used Pixel 7 or even a new Pixel 6a makes way more sense than buying this bad device

So all I'd get is a higher-frame screen and a better camera over my current pixel 6a? Not worth the money
The battery live will change after a few patches, wouldn't focus on it
I guess I'll just underclock my 6a for increased efficiency. I don't really need the performance anyway

AnonD-1101735, 26 May 2023How do you know ? 😔Because 100% wireless is incovenient. Meizu quit that project for obvious reasons.
1) qi charging is low efficiency, generates much more heat = bad for battery
2) wifi is no near as fast to transfer files as wired. Huge % of iphone sales are in USA where so many have low speed internet, majority of homes have no more than 20Mbps. Even worse if using mobile data, which connection is way low stability than wifi
3) you cant install manually firmware if phone is not turned on.

It doesn't make sense that 7a's call and standby time would be this much worse than 6a and 7.

Except softness at corners, obviously it would do better than pixel 7.
7a has exmor, 7 has isocell.

Apple and Google always drag their feet adapting better hardware and features because they know in some markets with limited competition, people have no choice but to buy them.
The poor battery and slow charging killed it for use when traveling.
