Sorry I I've got to the stage I don't believe a word you write. Why? Because I've had all the folds from day one and never had an issue.

my samsung fold 4 (serial -R3CT8044PXA)has completely screwed up within 14 months. Screen from the fold line is fully damaged with thick black line. Samsung care (ref 1190172595) fully sucks with out of warranty samsungSHIT. Also samsung care (extended support) purchase experience was so painful that after making payment also, it didnt work. My croma sales person tried for one month but it didnt work.
Cant be treated like this for Rs 1.5 Lac phone. I am constrained to go to all places and social media, consumer court etc. without anymore pain. Cant run around like this for having paid huge sum for Samsung Fold. Regards

As an alectrical engineer on construction sites, this would be great for construction plans and multi-tasking.

I’ve been visiting GSMA everyday for the l... moreThis! I can attest personally that Fold 5 has noticeably better battery life than the Fold 4 I had before it, though not by a huge margin. There is a simple explanation, that I think many reviewers, even the best ones miss, even if it's not easy to test for it - the chip lottery. It's rather well known that different units and batches of the same chip can have rather high variances in both performance and especially power consumption, especially early in the life cycle. This is the reason I think iPhone 15 has better battery life than last year's iPhone 14 Pros, as well as why there is rather high variance in the early samples reviewed by everyone. This was especially true for some Exynos models, e.g. my S22 Ultra was basically unusable, while some others were lucky and had a great time with it.
Unfortunately, apart from sourcing like 6 or more units (potentially even from different retailers) to make these tests statically more relevant and identify potential outliers and problems, there is nothing to be done about it. I saw that they bought 2 iPhone 15 Pro Max for this reason, but that is not enough, the math is cruel in that regard.

Hey GSMarena,
I’ve been visiting GSMA everyday for the last 21 years. Always back your reviews as the best. Just one discrepancy if you can clarify.
All the other reviews I have watched have shown the fold 5 to outdo the fold 5S battery by some 10% or more.
Yours is the only one I have seen where it is worse than fold 4. Can you confirm if you used older software, pre release unit etc.

The Review praises the phone too much for the little improvement that it brings while battery life arguably got worse vs ZF4. was waiting to buy this phone as soon as it got released but it was such an underwhelming release that I opted to change the battery of my S21 Ultra instead... Lets see what happens in 2024

This new Fold5 has less 3G talk time and web browsing time compared to the Fold4? Unless if you care about the Fold5's new gapless folding mechanism, there's no reason to upgrade from the Fold4.
