I like the new case design. It's surely a step up from the awkward s pen holder design.

I fear Fold 6 is going to be the same old same old - fold4++ of sorts.
Probably decreased crease, added official dust resistance rating (although unofficially fold 5 is pretty prone to dirt damage, as demonstrated by JerryRigEverything), slightly wider aspect ratio of outer screen, Snapdragon 8gen3, 16gb ram. That's a given.
If, and IF we're lucky, maybe slightly larger battery capacity, 45 w charging, s-pen silo, newer ultrawide, improved under-display selfie& ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
They know they rock this (foldable) joint. The only half-real contender is Pixel Fold which is practically in alpha stages development-wise, maybe 2nd Pixel will become usable.
And that's available in like several countries.
Just like Asian foldables.
Samsung will have no real competitor in foldable department for yeeeears.
And that's really really sad for us as customers.

-Mid-range cameras
-Charges so slow you could watch a movie
-Ultra awkward aspect ratio, my tv remote is wider
But guys we gotta give credit were credit is due : making a boring device out of the most exciting form factor ain't no easy feat. Kudos to Samsung for that.
All jokes aside, name another foldable with good software and global availability (warranty, parts and service where you live).
There is none.
Would you risk importing a foldable from China? With exquisite hardware generations ahead of Samsung's? But with software generations behind, no warranty, no service ? Fixing it yourself, sourcing and installing any spares required on your own ? Getting one OS update, two if you're lucky ? Nah you probably wouldn't want that experience after spending 1XXX bucks on a shiny new foldable.
Samsung knows this. They're all alone at this party and they've been for several years now.
So why should they bother to dress ?? I would show up in flip flops too.

nothing,really.
also, phone must be plugged wall all of time, i have no time to use it much.
come on, folder 6 must be much better...or model forget.
still waiting iphone 15 ultra,,,im sure its not dissapoinment.....pricey.. yeah, but you get something back that price,,,,and its cheaper than Folder5...

1) overclocked SoC that does not perform as an overclocked SoC
2) 8bit screen with only 240Hz flickering , bad calibrated (warm/saturated is not accuracy) and useless curves
3) base variant 8GB
4) bad audio (worst among $800+ phones)
5) low quality 8K video that seems upscaled from 4K instead of native 8K, photos with wrong colors, too much sharpening to pretend to be details and excess of noise reduction
6) lenses have nasty corner softness
7) system takes too much of storage
8) UI is ram hungry, too much crap runs background and cannot be stopped
9) too heavy
10) it costs less than S22u to be made, but sold at higher price.
I do not give 💩 if it will be getting android 17. Ppl that can afford devices of these prices often get new one, they do not wait 4-5 years.
Samsung has highest revenue and budget for mobile business among all brands that use android. S Ultra should be best at everything.

I would also like to add one thing, since ZF5 is not that much different from ZF4 (which I have): it's an excellent media/information consumption machine. Reading news is so much better on the inner screen, I've been long sick and tired of the column articles, with two sentences interrupted by an ad, and then two more sentences, rinse and repeat... Good ad blocker + huge screen and it is definitely more comfortable to read on the inner screen.
I also do that outside, in full sun when on a smoke break at work. Even in full sun I can read everything just fine, though the crease tends to get in the way a little bit. If they nailed flattening out the screen when opened I would not lose sleep over it.
To me, this was the best phone-related quality of life change in my life since the old Windows Phone (SPV M650) -> Android change and I cannot imagine going back to reading news/articles on a slab phone, it just doesn't compare. I can also launch nanny cam app on one half of the screen and mobile game on the other and both play something for a while and keep an eye on my baby sleeping, without compromising window size of any of those.
I'm just scared that now that I got so used to the thing, I'll have to shell out a hefty sum every time it's time for a new phone :/ But maybe those will get somewhat cheaper in the next two years... but probably not.

It's not the best foldable. It's not even the best Samsung. Some phones have better battery life, or faster charging, or better displays, or one better camera.
But the complexity of features simply beats all others.

Test published one day after the pre-order period ends. Now I know why. At least in my country, sales seem to be poor, as Samsung has extended the pre-order period until the end of the month. So far this has not happened. It seems that the brighter screen is very greedy. The Fold 5 will only last through the day if it lies on the table most of the time. Let's hope the Fold 6 gets HW improvements, the SW is great anyway.

The cover display needs to be wider man, this looks so wacky nowadays. Vivo's X Fold 2 seems like such a better phone. Wish Samsung at least used the 108 MP camera on the Fold, or even the GN2, same megapixel count but a much larger sensor. The UW and Telephoto cams need to be upgraded. Oh yeah this NEEDS and S Pen slot and that's it, I don't have much complaints besides that. Cameras, cover display and S pen slot. The latter 2 are easy fixes, just make the cover display wider and find some place to put the S Pen, they were able to put an S Pen in the S22 Ultra with 5000 MaH battery, they can do it for this too. Pretty sure they've got it all planned out and are just waiting for actual competition to release these features. Oh yeah a bigger battery is a must, this needs to have longer screen on times than the S23 Ultra to be a viable "flagship" or "professional" model. This has neither the cameras, the integrated S Pen nor the bigger battery. That sucks lol

Samsung and apple have larger user base. People that use both do not want to read negative stuff about them, otherwose would be losing interest to show up.
No website wants this.
Guess why certain youtubers drool all over samsung, apple, google and oneplus phones.
They know ppl will not care if they say 💩 about oppo, vivo, xiaomi, sony, asus, motorola, honor and huawei .. But will lose views if they bash those 4 brands.

So it doesnt have the best endurance (gsm means of testing is still broken and the fact is it doesnt have the best video playback or web browsing which are actually 2 main things to look at when USING YOUR DEVICE).
It also has very average cameras, some sensors not changing since the fold 2, its screens arent the best, very average again actually, speakers are decent, charging is a joke... Still. Brightness isnt the best so isnt best for outdoor use or content consumption.
Am i missing something here? How is this a 4.6/5? Why did you instantly compare it to the worst foldable on the market? (pixel fold) is it not obvious to everyone they are just pushing certain companies and products now?
