"Previously the T-series didn't have dedicated zoom cameras"
it had 2x Tele on Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro (Redmi K20 in some markets) but they dropped it in favor of depth/macro cameras

The price in indonesia is much cheaper.
      12/256GB only €392.

The display brightness is as expected way lower than the 2600 nits claims.
Still pretty good though, just not way higher than competition.

The battery life is disappointing once again in a xiaomi device. Same overall score as the smaller s23.

The 4years of OS updates is very welcome at this price range, especially from Xiaomi.

The biggest deal breaker though is the performance. Its could be way better.

Its a more expensive Nord 3, which doesnt sound that great.

whatthefrick, 12 Oct 2023Wtf? No mention of the USB 2.0 on a flagship?I know the prices are high in Europe, but the 13T is priced as a midrange in some markets. Like in my country Malaysia for example, the S23 FE is almost twice the price of a 13T.

Wtf? No mention of the USB 2.0 on a flagship?

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2023Still waiting for the day where a phone is released with a ... moreNot sure about other phones but this oversharpening quirk is extremely noticeable to me on Samsung flagships, especially on the 200MP shooters.

I also have a mirrorless camera, the Fujifilm XT3, and what's special about this camera is that it doesn't have an antialiasing filter which means pictures also come out rather oversharpened. But, it's oversharpening done right. The sharpness comes from the CMOS sensor itself with zero software processing needed.

The camera on the S23 Ultra tries to replicate that same professional sharpening of DSLR/mirrorless cameras without antialiasing filters, but does it in an artificial way.

Pls do a prolonged test on the 13t pro to analyze the Dimensity's flagship offering. Tnx
Btw s23 fe comparisons pls (vs the 13t and also the a54)

These new MediaTek chips are a bit disappointing in terms of battery life, just like the original Qualcomm SD Gen 8 chips. I was really gunning for MediaTek as a more efficient, cooler and cheaper option, but now I'm left wondering.

Anonymous, 12 Oct 2023Still waiting for the day where a phone is released with a ... moreSmall lenses can't produce dedicated cameras photos, phones mostly relying on the software processing and thus sometimes over sharpening photos.

If someone like me who doesn't need a better camera, Poco F5 is better choice. You get faster processor (30%) and better battery life. Display on F5 is also very nice.

Also, this doesn't have better selfie camera than the F5. Only the main camera is better and slightly better ultrawide.

Still waiting for the day where a phone is released with a camera that doesn't oversharpen everything. Galaxy... Xiaomi... Huawei... they all make the same oversharpened mess with their photos.
iPhone 15 24mp stills are slightly better, but still smeary messes themselves. I miss the iPhone 7 camera - it may have been worse and grainier but the sharpening was much more toned down.

Why do I complain? I have a $300 Mirorrless camera that while in low light is certainly outclassed by the iPhones and Galaxies of the world, for daylight stills it beats the crap out of them - and why: the sharpening is much, much more toned down and you can see details rather than them being ridiculous smeared shapes. Its 16mp daylight stills contain more detail than S23 200mp or 15 Pro 50mp could even dream of achieving.

Seriously, this is probably the best rounded smartphone for 600 euro
