I agree my Pixel 8 Pro has a few apps with micro stutters but mostly it's fine performance wise. The 7 Pro got better over time

Got the Google 8 pro... Battery life is very very good and photo quality a step up from last year with amazing macro shots...a great phone with great software... Is it the best ? I'm not sure but then people prioritize different qualities... Camera. .. display... Battery life... Processor... And one phone rarely has them all ....

Hmm.. so if this is out, maybe I can get a 7 or 7a for less than $500 in Canada. For some reason I have no problem paying 1000 or 2000 for a video card but, paying 500 for a phone feels like a waste to me.
