I'm definitely skipping this Pixel generation. Google really needs to work on ithe battery life and that Tensynos of a nightmare and stop trying to convince consumers with AI nonsense. We need better thermal, CPU and battery performance worthy of a flagship, as they are marketing their devices.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2023seems like google didn't give them a pre-release unit ... moreConsidering the reputation of Pixel chipsets among the geek community... 😉

How long will it take Gsmarena to publish their review of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.

thunderresistant, 23 Oct 2023Is it that bad, GSMArena, that the review hasn't even ... morePerhaps they want to be more thorough than others? Maybe they didn't receive the device prior to release date? Could be many things.

Is it that bad, GSMArena, that the review hasn't even been published, despite dozens of others?

Now how much AI processing is added to the pictures and how are original shots? This phone is known to be powered by AI software improvements. The likes of Samsung nowadays, making photos look nothing close compared to what you actually see.

if the soc is already lame now, it will be even lamer compared to the soc's in 7 years and the chance that it is up to the task, is smaller than let's say with a sd 8g2.

Gsmarena, it would be nice if you could test the 50 megapixel astrophotography mode.

And of course, it would be nice to see 50 megapixel sample images from all three cameras.

Anyways, 7 years of updates are still pointless. After 7 years, this basically would run extremely slow in the world of fast phones.

The Tensor G3 can only last until 2025."? This benchmark doesn't have an expiration date on it. Can you source your claim that G3 can only last until 2025?

When will these manufacturers learn that 60 Hz isn't good for 24 Hz content. It's so easy mistake to fix. This is disappointing.

Combine that with Google blocking benchmarking apps for the first few days... you have to wonder what Google is trying to hide

The Pixel 8 Pro wins by a mile in the few samples shown by gsmarena compared to the iPhone 15's output. The colors, exposure and the white balance on the Pixel both in bright light and in low light are just way ahead than that in the iPhone. The iPhone sharpens its images too much, the greenery on the iphones are clipped, losing leaf details and the sunset is just overcooked with too much HDR. I'm sure the Pixel 8 Pro will win over the Iphone 15 Pro Max in the best photo quality hands down in gsmarena's full review.
