But it's because of poor standby 8 got this score.
Well, and if you think that battery drain can be fixed by software update - it depends, on G1 it's the modem, only time will tell what's the issue with G3 (I assume the same, but who knows - some reports are saying the cellular reception is "breddy good").

    It falls significantly short when compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which boasts a remarkable 24 hours of battery life for web browsing. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro offers only 16 hours, which is considered subpar and not satisfactory

      Other phones/lines it features on are:- oppo find x5 series, asus RoG 7 series and 6 series, the realme gt2 series, the 1st gen nothing phone, redmi note 12 series, oneplus 10 series (including the R and T versions), the oneplus nord 2 series (including T variants), oneplus ace series, xiaomi 12 (and X variants), the honor magic 3 and 4 series, huawei mate 50 series, the samsung galaxy A54 (best selling samsung devices on the market?). Thats about half the devices using that sensor as atleast the main sensor.

        Wow dxomark give the 8pro the best display on the market, 4th best all round camera performance, 8th place in speakers in the high end categories.. battery /performance we'll see haha.. surprised with some of these marks though

So, it has everything to do with whether it is powerful or not. Applying the same algorithm on 50mp as they did on 12.5mp may not be possible now.

                                  newflesh, 26 Oct 2023One day Pixels will have a good battery life... One day TBH, the idle battery life seems to be a big upgrade compared to Pixel 7 Pro.
                                  At least in my case the drain during night and during day, when it is just sitting next to me, seems like a big difference.
                                  When I use it, it is just barely better, but it might be attributed to my Pixel 7 Pro having a 1-year-old battery and some small degree of lower capacity.
