The design is dull and outdated, the front camera is garbage with terrible stabilisation (if any), the microphones are mediocre, the global version still runs the crappy Funtouch OS, timely software updates are unlikely.

No one cares about emulation except for an extremely small percentage of users, maybe even smaller than those using custom roms. But they're always very vocal when someone starts praising Kirin/Exynos/Mediatek chipsets.

The emulation is another story because of the driver optimisation stuff, but then emulation isn't the most popular use case of a phone anyway (Read: Very few people care about it) so it's not important for the majority of potential buyers of X100 Pro.

I would also love to try out Xiaomi 13 Ultra's authentic mode with an in-camera NAT filter applied if it ever becomes available in my country (which it won't).

Amateur stuff.I have some complaints about how the 13 Ultra handles HDR tone mapping in challenging situations, but I'm generally a fan of how Leica Authentic looks. It's got deep and slightly undersaturated greens and blues which are very hard to find on other phones, kind of like how older Huawei phones used to handle these colours.
OnePlus and Oppo have more neutral colour palettes which I appreciate just as much. I'm not a fan of Apple's, Google's and Samsung's colour rendition, and as for Sony.. it generally looks OK, but I wish they brought S-Cinetone to the still photo mode as well because that's the JPEG colour setting I use on my camera.

Are you aware about modem 4G limitations of this smartphone ? Of that shitty processor Demensity with tricky points on Antutu... There's NO band B20 800 MHz ! All EU using it !
Do you know what does it mean ? Unstable 4G... your Vivo X100 Pro will drop to 3G network...
Trio, why you don't make night selfies ? For example, all Samsung S23 Ultra making desgusting night selfies ... compared to... Huawei P30 Pro that beating it totally...
Focus on important things... Don't just test Antutu useless points... On display... all displays today are Amoled Super Duper 1000Hz... 1000 billion colors...

Gsmarena, I've been a fan of your reviews since early 2000s. I especially love the camera sections in your reviews and find them very useful. However, I don't like the way you guys keep saying that the 'High Resolution ' photo modes are useless. They may not offer that much detail for the size increase of the images captured, however they allow to zoom and crop. It is very useful to those of us that pixel peep. I'd rather have the option than not at all. Also if rather see you guys complain about the removal of the SD card slots and headphone jacks in the flagships than the 'not so useful ' high Res modes...

Does the funtouch OS includes a side-swipe app drawer (app assistant) with the 10-15 most frequently used apps, like in Huawei phones? Which is good for multi-tasking.

So you are telling me, you will get a digital zoom from same old x90 pro 1 inch sensor in a fancy name as mm . This thing just enables digital zoom in a potrait mode on 1X (23mm) camera upto 3.4 X (85mm). It simply means there is no optically 2X (50mm) clarity as X90 pro ,has only optical is a 4.3X (100mm).
The digital zoom between 23 mm to 85 mm will just have low quality tested on x90 pro till 46mm on 1 inch sensor quality is good but losses details. It a shame that it cannot output a better clarity at 50mm than x90 pro. Since it will digital 50 mm vs optical 50mm.
But thing is u cannot digitally zoom in 1 inch sensor in x90 pro in protaite mode. But again who the hell in the world even want a digital zoom in a flagship model ?.
All we need is all range optical zoom camera but is impossible to fit 23 mm 35 mm , 50mm , 85mm ,100mm, 16mm in one phone, it's a bloody 6 camera setup . May be in future.
But for now a simple 50mm optical addition will do the magic for perfect shooting distance.Since we need to go far away to take human potrait on 100mm optical.
