I like the asian samsung firmwares because they allow OEM unlock (bootloader unlock).

What i like about Samsung is that they are very environmentally conscious and don't include a charger in the box, unlike some of the Chinese brands which insist on including 120W chargers in the box😜

"What's more, we are eager to see how the new AI-driven features aid real-life situations and whether Samsung's heavy bet on AI instead of offering more meaningful hardware upgrades is enough to boost sales and spark users' interest." (GSMArena)

Therefore, the s24 ultra is the s23 ultra with new software gimmicks powered by AI.
AI can do more meaningful things these days. This device lacks creativity. On the hardware side, they should have introduced new battery tech that lasts long, faster charging speed, and the ability to capture beyond the moon; perhaps planets.

Looks like the 200mp camera is still saving in 12mp and over sharpening photos. Disappointed. I was really hoping the default image size would be increased to 24mp where over sharpening should not be as big an issue. I'll be sticking with my S23 Ultra as I can't see any camera improvements for normal daily photography.

Now S23 Ultra will get a price drop, and I'll be able to buy it, hopefully.

S24 lineup is just OVERPRICED junk for fanboys.
Maybe I'll upgrade to s24 Ultra in 4–5 years when it's price drops, because it has 7 years of updates. It's the only positive thing I can say about it.

It's basically the same oversized featureless garbage as last year, with the same awful cameras, but now with a worse processor.

Under TM Roh, Samsung really only knows how to copy all the bad things about Apple.

I'm done with their phones. The S23 I'm using is probably the worst Android phone I've ever used (and I used the LG G4) and if anyone releases a smaller phone - even if just 1mm smaller, I'm out (as in the overall size of the phone. Don't bother telling me the Zenfone 10 has a 5.8" screen. I know. And then giant bezels that make the phone larger than the S23).

I don't remember a more boring Galaxy release. The differences compared to the previous models are minimal at best.

The amount of emphasis Samsung put on AI for the launch of the S24 series is comparable to the endless mention of 5G by Apple during the iPhone 12 announcement lol.

These are nice phones for sure but sadly there isn't a whole lot to meaningfully distinguish them from their predecessors (the S22 and S23 series) apart from the SoCs. The "new" 5x telephoto lens is nice, but the rest of the camera hardware remains mostly unchanged and the 1x + 3x cameras continue to be the main drawback of its otherwise solid camera system. 7 years of software updates is something I can definitely appreciate, though.

Getting rid of my Note10+ finally(512 GB + 400GB SD Card) and pre-ordered the 1 TB S24 Ultra. The Note 10+ still works great and the battery life is also not bad for its age(bought in August 2019).I was torn between S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra as I believe the AI capabilities will come to S23 too. However, it was the 7 year of android updates and security patches for S24 lineup which sold it for me. I like to keep my phones for longer time and this will be a perfect one for that (another reason to go for 1 TB)

"Better nose-reduction algorithms are in place" You beauty! I'll finally be able to take some nice selfies! 🤣
