Midrangers, entry-levels, budgets, flagships, premiums, foldables and tablets are all scored the same. Not really fair for a 100 dollar phone with 4GB of RAM +eMMC to be compared to a 1000 dollar phone with UFS 4.0 and 12GB of RAM

I don't think an intended device for 4G should be a con worth mentioning at all
When 5G smartphones were newly released at exorbitant prices with barely any 5G infrastructure to support it why didn't you guys put it as a CON then???

So whatever is acceptable for flagships they just project it on every other class of smartphones
So to them 10 hrs is solid power efficient midrangers should be doubling that or at least hitting the 16hr range

Well, there is a 5G option so you can't really add no 5G when you're purposely reviewing a 4G phone. It literally states 4G in the phones title.

Gnusmas, 20 Jan 2024do you know that 5G capable SoCs still can use 4G?Yes, I know. But they come with 5G modem. So, they are more expensive. That's why smartphones in the same series, like Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11S 5G, 5G versions have much higher price for the same hardware, or less powerfull hardware for the same price. Cheaper Redmi Note 11S 4G has OLED screen and higher resolution cameras over Note 11S 5G with his 5G connectivity and a bit more power in his chip...

That main camera sensor is impressive. Even with the poor ISP capabilities the G99 must sport, it does quite decently.
Audio jack, microsd, decent screen... If it only had a better chipset...

No longer value packed, only offering big things that yes are nice but trimming on all kinds of little things. Look at budget phones from Xiaomi, Motorola, etc in 2020/1.
Sure these new phones maybe have slightly better screens and processors and 'water resistance wow', but they take away all kinds of little things.
It's funny how even 3 years later Redmi Note 10 Pro can still be a relevant budget phone except for the processor. Literally such slow improvement.

Look at the stabiliza... moreMi A2 had Qualcomm chip and for the most part Qualcomm have better ISP, but even Qualcomm not so long ago released Snapdragon 695, 680, 685 which have downgraded ISP that can record crappy 1080p video at best.

That stabilization demo is atrocious. Look at the stabilization demo for Mi A2 (2018) which is excellent, flagship worthy even. There is something very, very wrong when a 6-year-old phone humiliates a brand new one.

So many Xiaomi models with 5,000mAh batteries are only 10 hours of browsing time. Strangely, despite ordinary results, the review describes them as "solid numbers".

Hopicus, 20 Jan 2024What is the point if this review? Already reviewed poko m6 pro.That's probably why they reviewed it. It's much easier to review a phone that's almost the same thing because you already have done some of the tests anyway.
