The standby time would suffer, but it would consume less power than A5xx when having to maintain a high CPU performance state. X100 Pro is both faster AND able to maintain its performance for a longer time than iQOO 12 that you mentioned.

"Clear sign vivo thinks 8g3 is better"
Better in terms of modem performance (10Gbps vs 7Gbps max downlink), but most importantly Snapdragon's brand image is simply better than Dimensity's. "Qualcomm SoC higher grade than Mediatek" narrative is more in line with what people expect from those two companies. It's not that 8g3 is actually better than D9300 in terms of CPU or GPU performance lol.

      Both run funtouch 14.

      i12 : 6,173 mAh / min
      X100p: 6,482 mAh / min

For light tasks like messaging, email, internet browsing , listening to music , using core A7xx is such power waste. Cores A5xx can do it easily.

Mediatek is trying to gain clients by benchmarks. In vain cause their main phone ( 100 Ultra) uses 8g3. Clear sign vivo thinks 8g3 is better.

hmm Ultra has 100mah bigger battery so its about same than 24+..

not see any reason to go s24 series....looks s24 series real update is just AI option...
and it has several bugs....looks also that Samsung made it fast to get new phone market.
let see s25 ultra....im pessimist that also..
think my nest phone is....,1st time Apple...lets see...

X cores are more power efficient than A7xx cores and A7xx cores are more efficient than A5xx cores when they are running at higher clock speed. The only reason why SoC designers would want to use A5xx is to save a die space and reduce the idle power consumption slightly, for more CPU intensive tasks A5xx always lose out to the other two in terms of efficiency.

No 10 bit display is a big disgrace. The company who make display for most of the brands don't even use the best display itself

Phones with these chips dont overheat.

X100 Pro with 400mAh more than iqoo12, scored bit over 20 min more.
Difference should be higher if chip was not power hungry as well.

In this moment in fact a can give any money to have a S24 Ultra with Dimensity 9300 SOC

Mills, 02 Feb 2024Yea but still. 1080 to 1440 is that big? Never realized. It is actually 1.8x more pixels. So, not that bad but not great either.

"No charger in the box and ships with a 3A Type-C cable, which cannot do 45W charging."

That is just sloppy. If it was a mid-range phone, it would have been understandable. But on a flagship, that is just bad practice. They are already not providing basic stuff like charger, but whatever accessories they are giving should be able to use the phone's full potential. It literally costs less than 1% of the phone. Just shady business practice.

No!!! Of course it's quite much better than last year's S23+. GSMArena's ratings means usually absolutely nothing (to me). They present just a rough opinion and a comparison based on other latest flagships they have recently reviewed and so forth and value for money also included. S24+ is of course an amazing phone but it's too expensive for my budget.
