Gsmarena, why did you guys stop commenting on the FULL RESOLUTION MODE camera photo quality in your reviews ???

There's still a silent majority of us who find that mode useful in our day to day life, especially when we have to scan important documents or snapping pictures on outdoor trips!

    Disappointed:(

Super Android 22, 07 Feb 2024You say that but look at iphones, £900 for the lowest model... moreYeah, but iPhones are....iPhones. they're overpriced, no matter what.

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2024Pocos are very cheap. How's the battery in comparison?... moreThe battery are on par with Iphone SE Series, But The Series Has Worse Software as it full of bugs, lots of lost feature, and Barely Had An Update.

          what happened???

David 040882, 05 Feb 2024The weak camera setup is what keeps me away from buying it.... moreYou say that but look at iphones, £900 for the lowest model and they dont have a telephoto. Most android phones now main cams can do x2 zooms without really any quality loss (most x2 zoom cams are really portrait cams, not really zoom unless its 3x or more).

CamoGeko-XDA, 05 Feb 2024What a dumb decision to keep the curved display for this gen.Not really, looks more premium and easier to handle, be cool if phones released like a flat screened version of the phone though (so you could choose if you want a curved version or flat version of the phone, can only dream though).

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2024You can actually get a Galaxy S23 for that price if you loo... moreOnly reason you'd get an s23 is more versatile cam quality, everything else this beats the s23 pretty easily (oh and faster wired transfer data if thats what you need).

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2024Id also prefer the 16gb ram over the puny 8gb or 12gbram in... moreYou dont have 3gb free, you're getting confused with how android phones use ram. I leave about 12-20 apps open in the background constantly, i have 8gb of ram with 8gb virtual and when i clear my apps it only clears about 50mb of space. It just leaves the data in your ram reserves so you can basically pre load those apps again if needed, once you open a new app that needs the ram it'll clear the cached data from the ram, its how android phones load apps far quicker than what apple phones do, i know from real world proof.

Oneplus are basically types of oppo phones and my find x5 is just as quick loading apps than what my mates s23u are and my other mates iphone 13 PM so doesnt suprise me it is super smooth.

Mike4, 06 Feb 2024well lucky for me i already got my POCO X6 PRo 512/12 GB f... moreOh the poco x6 pro is a fantastic phone for the price, one phone I'd look at at that price range tbh (for a new phone). Only issues would be the cameras but everything else is actually appealing.

My next phone though will be a used flagship, only way i go now (make sure its in perfect quality), probably gunna grab the honor magic5 pro for about £350.

This isnt overpriced though like i said, its a better phone than the x6 pro and is in line with other phones at that price and will get better software updates if that's your thing (not sure how xiaomi deals with poco and the updates)

YourPhoneEnthusiast, 06 Feb 2024Again, I wasn't talking about the RAM but the deceptiv... morePlease tell me your experience about OxygenOS on your OnePlus 7. I have Xiaomi for 4 years and I hate MIUI and have problem with this garbage from first months.
and want to buy a new phone and first step for me is to choose what Android UI is really great. Also I really like OxygenOS. How is OxygenOS in battery life, bug or any UI issues or annoying ads or anything you know about it. I would be happy if you explain and guide me with your experience and knowledge. Thanks man

The OnePlus phones are only competitively priced in the US, in Europe the 12R costs 750 EUR and you can get a Galaxy S23 or if you really search even an S23+ for that price. I mean really...960 EUR (OnePlus 12) for a Chinese phone ? A joke.

In USA this phone costs $499 when you trade-in any phone (can be $5 garbage). In Europe it costs 799 Euro!!! It's absurd.

Super Android 22, 06 Feb 2024In my country its £650 for pre order off the oneplus site f... morewell lucky for me i already got my POCO X6 PRo 512/12 GB for only 380 Euros , sold my ex phone of course and got this for only449 Euros. Im very glad i Chose POCOX6 PRO ove this overpriced junk oneplus 12r. cheers mate.

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2024Id also prefer the 16gb ram over the puny 8gb or 12gbram in... moreAgain, I wasn't talking about the RAM but the deceptive tactics that OnePlus uses. I used a OnePlus 7 previously and I still regret updating it to this day.

Leaving OS aside, The crux of my comment was that,
They could have just rebranded the base variant (12+256) and could price it around ₹40k and would still make a profit. Many counterparts does it with a price difference of ₹5~7k price difference with Chinese price. Heck Iqoo 12 did it at a diff of ₹5k.

But they still chose to launch a 8+128, which consists of a lower variant of LPDDR5X and a UFS 3.1 ??

Why? Just for the marketing purposes and making more money.
Which variant would most consumers buy? The base.
Which variant would all reviewers receive? The 16+256.

And trust me, The difference b/w UFS is day and night.

To conclude, This is a deceptive tactic to save money. This is not the OnePlus that I used to love, These are the ways of oppo. How OnePlus has fallen.

oneplus never offers their stock ROM firmware for download. This is very bad for open source development. Without access to stock boot.img you cannot root your device!!! What's the point of allowing bootloader unlock if you do not offer your stock firmware for download? Now you cannot even revert back to previous Android version!
And no I am not going to use an unofficial 3rd party app to download the firmware from some unknown 3rd party server. That app is not supported by the manufacturer...

Also xiaomis dont have 1000ms touch sampling the list could carry on. I own a xiaomi 12t pro 8gb ram coming from a oneplus 8 12gb ram. Its horrible.. Normally only have about 3gb ram left.. Hardly enough for upcoming games like warzone and division resurgence. Seriously just try a oneplus if you can afford one.. My xiaomi 12tpro feels like a downgrade apart from the screen and chipset been a little better.. It also helps that oneplus do that greeny blue back, looks great. Xiaomis/redmi/poco look too generic and cheap which is what they are 100%.

No good if we cant get one on the carriers. Three mobile uk used to do them. They're normally really good on battery and destroy unoptimised xiaomis. I now own a xiaomi instead of a oneplus phone. Please i dont want xiaomi or Samsung which feels just like a premium xiaomi although the s24 ultra screen is to die for with its extremely low reflection in sunlight. Bring our oneplus back otherwise i will just get a galaxy ultra for the software updates and the screen.. You are losing customers to xiaomi big time because you can't supply the phones.
