The GSM low light studio shots from the main camera of both the S23U and S24U are markedly sharper, more detailed and less noisy on the former! What's up with that?

    Maybe if you use low end entry phones like the A05 then that would be laggy.

        Nik, 14 Feb 2024I cannot understand how charging speed of the Ultra S24 can... more1 year with x90 pro+ battery health 95% , here's something that might amaze you, you are NOT FORCED to use the fast charger when you don't need, simply charge in a hurry, vacantions etc, is so good to have it there when needed and simple don't use it when you don't need it. Such an expensive phone should give you options not old tech.

          Jpegs are too disgustingly "enhanced" that you do not see difference until you look at raw files (those unprocessed raws).

That's what I'm saying.

The Ferrari 296 GTB got 5 stars on all motoring websites. But will only sell 200... the Fiat 500 2024 will sell many 000s. Sales have nothing to do with rating a product!!!

                    Last year total global smartphones shipment was 1.14 billion , and S23u just barely sold 12 million units . Googled it yourself here in gsmarena on the s ultra sale history.

                            The throttling become scarier and scarier even the 8g3 run with blooted lagging One Ui.
                            ViVo x100 has better heat control.

                              You cannot judge by looking at jpeg. It is dng that is used to compare.
                              Samsung and canon have made sensors for more than 20 years, still way below sony.
                              Let alone omnivision.

                              Using omnivions is way to reduce costs. If all were same price, all chinese phones would use only exmor.

You know}) barely, but yeah at the end of the year will sell more units than it's Android competitors. So it would get (phone of the year) from many sites/YouTubers.
                                IMO it is only UI/UX that Samsung has advantage over other(mostly Chinese) brands.

Case in point, the 1/2" telephoto they made, absolute work of art in the Vivo X100 Pro.

                                    That oversharpening is extreme, also oversaturated reds and greens. Disappointing. It seems Samsung developers have zero sense of aesthetics.

                                      IMO you'll need to change the charging port about 4 to 5 years, & the battery around the same time:
                                      3 years= Heavy user/ intensive gamer.
                                      4 years= Medium user.
                                      5 years= Light user. (Non gamer).

When reviewing S23U, there were not direct competitiors to compete with S23U, but iPhone 14 PM (if iOS). At that time, all were praising S23U for bringing 200MP with its tech, SD8gen2 which is better than gen1, etc.

                                        Now, all hope that S24U will bring the new advanced tech but, no, S24U brings a new telephoto only, well SD8gen3 is new but it is not too advance comparing with gen2, Flat display with thinnest bezel, Gorilla Armor and titanium that only make it beautiful.

                                        S24U is only for people who need it urgent. S24U ticks all the well-done things, and the buyer wont be disappointed after all.
