Disappointing to see only 1 page for camera on this review but 3 pages on the Vivo x100 pro.. Both are camera monsters, I would have expected the same quality of testing. It's not like you guys had to rush this one out.. Please take your time. It's always worth the wait for a better review

(also being an actual musician with a grandfather who was a professional musician and a great uncle in the same band i understand music on a far greater scale than yourself so have a far more important and logical view of the art form than yourself, like my degrees in actual business, so again you can have your opinion even if it is completely wrong)

    Also "move on and grow a pair" i probably had a pair and with hair on before you came in to this world, little boys and their thought processes lol.

So with holding infomation is ok right? Just like whats happening massively in the world now? I guess all the servere crimes samsung are causing need to be hidden for you're mindset because "popular"?

      Very very dangerous mindset and and essentially why this happens and companies/corperates/people/countries get away with a lot of awful things (you should never turn a blind eye to things, i dont) , i feel sorry for you matey.

      Also i can use your own logic against you, my comments were more popular and detailed than yours so your opinion is worthless and doesnt matter so dont give it. not right or nice is it because you're opinion does matter and is worth just as much as mine, we include everyone.

      P.s. Pixels only sell in certain markets yet get the same level of quality as Samsung devices so youve gone against your own words, doesnt samsung have f series and m series that only sell in certain regions yet get more coverage? Can't you buy region specific devices with roms on that work in your region? (the answers yes so oppo deserve the same treatment as apple, samsung, pixels etc... Its also simply put... DISCRIMINATION if you dont).

        they put a huge camera hw to a phone to make it twice thicker. of course, it is going to take nice photos as it is beyond practical dimensions. it is a brick.

Also came with an 80w charger and cable, was 2nd hand aswell from a non mainstream phone company (say directly from the manufacturer or network provider). Do you even get usb cables anymore with iphones, galaxy phones, pixels and sony devices?

          (oh yeah sorry, its to help the enviroment even though they mess around with their charging capabilities so much you have to buy a new brick and cablr each year which produces WAY MORE carbon and waste than including it in the box)

Iphones just look about 6 years out of date now, se models are like 2013 devices (again got some nice colour choices though)

              You are right about the design: the Pixel band is better and more practical, but given the number of lenses surely they can manage a rectangular bump that lies on a table without wobbling! Designers are like architects: they wouldn’t dare design the dreadful buildings they do if they had to live/work in them, would they?


              The oppo is increasing in distractiveness to my eyes as I have the sensation I am being ogled, something I dont get from a Nokia 1020, say. They just force you to look at the cameras whereas I much prefer there not being any ugly shiny trim around the lenses or their platform at all. The Xiaomi 14 is just so much more cool!

                Holly crap, that 3x camera takes better photos than all of the iPhone 15 and the S24 cameras :O

                    No offense but that's a horrible opinion. Firstly, I own the X7 Ultra myself and it's a really good looking and good quality case. Way nicer than the usual cheap gel cases that some other manufacturers include, and on top of that it the colour of the case matches the colour of the phone. Secondly, it's rare for phone manufacturers to even include a case at all these days. Why write negatively about it?

Regardless of how you view this phone, though, there are plenty of bad examples out there that are far worse than this one. The OnePlus 11 looked terrible, as did the OnePlus 10; some of the lower-range Huawei phones look downright ugly, as do some of the flagships; the Honor 100 looks ugly, as does the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate and the rest of the 5 series, and basically every Honor Magic x Lite phone; the Realme GT5 Pro is ugly as hell; the Nothing Phone 2a is one ugly duckling (even if I actually somewhat like its ugliness I guess?); and hell, even in Oppo's own camp, you have a much better example with the Oppo Find X5 series.

                          You might find this phone extremely ugly, and you're entitled to your braindead opinion, but there are many phones that are actually really ugly that you should look into first regardless which are objectively worse than this one.

                            JSK888, 06 Mar 2024If you hold the circular camera designed phone, there are m... moreexactly, My S22 Ultra is a nightmare to deal with, even with normal covers it wobbles on the table, feels awful to hold it in landscape mode and the same can be said about the iPhone. The S21 Ultra did it good with the camera island with all cameras flush, it's nice to touch those islands and the centered ones too but not separate ones. The Oneplus 8 Pro was like this with sharp edges and it was annoying to hold too, not to mention the insane amount of dust around the island, a huge pain to clean.

Why should people whine about GSM not making those reviews and not move on to some other site? You're just defending lazy practices. So you're saying those phones got proper reviews eh? Well the S24 series didn't even get the photos in the photo compare tool, what's your justification there? "Oh just go to some other site, grow a pair", gonna say something like that right?

                                  “It wasnt exactly pin-sharp in good light either…” really damns the new 12mm Ultrawide, and thus the whole phone for me. If there is one lens that has to be pin-sharp and produce detailed noise-free results, its the ultrawide on a phone. And as 12.5 MP is nowhere near big enough and detailed enough an image size for a 12mm lens, I suppose that they thought they could get away with it, but can they? I do not think so.

                                        Even though the Find X7 Ultra will not be available outside the Chinese market, it is nonetheless very interesting to see the technological developments and advancements that are obviously possible and that big players like Apple or Samsung (and others) are withholding from the consumers because they don't want to make the perfect camera phone for their users, but just a phone that is only marginally better than its predecessor from previous year - of course charging the full price.
