HTC Touch Diamond Vs Samsung Omnia :

Guys Samsung Omnia is much much better. Below is the comparison :
OMNIA : 5 mp cam + flash (check the additional features of its cam. you guys will be zapped)
DIAMOND : 3.15 mp cam + no flash

OMNIA : Touch screen is very user friendly to fingers (not the same as iphone but very similar to it)
DIAMOND : Touch screen is not user friendly at all. I have used both. Its very irritating to use DIAMOND apps becoz its not that userfriendly.

OMNIA : Screen size is 3.32 inch
DIAMOND : Screen size is 2.8 inch

OMNIA : Internal Storage upto 16 GB + mini sd card upto : 16 GB =32 GB
DIAMOND : Internal Storage of only 4GB

OMNIA : It only lacks in resolution and ram. But processor is fast in starting and switching application. :)
DIAMOND : It has better resolution and ram.

innov8oromnia, 16 Nov 2008can anyone help with my question...what is better: omnia or... moreU cannot comparate innovo and OMNIA. Both have different operating system. Its an insult to OMNIA for being compared with INNOVO... Omnia has WM 6.1, 5 MP cam + flash (check the features in camera, u will be zapped). Touchscreen is so userfriendly to fingers. GPS receiver, etc.
Please dont do such funny comparison again.

everything else is forgivable except for the BATTERY LIFE! it says in 1 review that the baterry life is about 3-4 days but upon testing it without WIFI , 1-2 short calls, around 10 SMS and a couple of Excel functions- IT HAS TO BE CHARGED EVERY NIGHT! DO YOU EXPERIENCE THE SAME BATT LIFE?

            Hellow from Ucraine!!!

I have a question, the person who wrote this very goood article said this: “When editing a contact you have a plethora of available info fields - and if by any rare chance, those are not enough, you can always rename some of the existing ones to use as you like.” And that is exactly what I am looking for, if I can add and not only rename fields on contacts in phonebook is better…..I will appreciate any help. Thanks!

                    Hello, everyone
Can someone tell me if the media player has touch navigation for track/movie fast forward? that is, can you touch the playing time progress bar at the place you want rather than have to hold fast forward?
                    cheers,
                    Kip
oh yeah, by the way, those in Australia can buy the phone outright for $AU729. Optus is also has the phone for $0 on a $49cap for 24months as an online exclusive offer. I'm thinking of getting that, still got time to make up my mind before that offer ends on 1 Dec 2008.

i acquired Samsung Onmia 2 weeks ago. to my surprised i am delighted.
As I was always adverse to touch screens i am very pleased with Onmia handset, the screen responsiveness is quite good( not as good as IPhone), i love the different set ups for the today menu.
In general the phone is very simple to use, as I ve never had a pocket pc I thought it would be very hard to adapt to it but i was wrong.

The camera is quite good can't say the same about the flash, video recording is very good and so is the sound.

A bit disappointed with the Music player, the samsung one, doesn't recognise all formats so even though i copied about 2 gbs worth of music just around 1 appered on the player, the Windows media player did recognise all the music, but i don't know it it has to do with the phone capability but when listening to music it is not as loud as if i take the head phones off, so rush hour, is a bit hard to hear music on the Onmia.

Overall i do love my handset, and would exchenge it for the iphone not in a million years, as i got it from orange i have the 16 gb version and it is wonderful it fits load, and didn't have to buy a memory card.

great review, but did you didn't test the wifi option too. i think most people that are buying this phone will use also wifi connection.
for example i'd like to know the difference from a nokia e71 and this phone about wifi

                            thanks

I just aquired the Omnia, but i use it for business of course and i find it very good infact, sounds to me you guys want more of a multimedia phone, but the Omnia is the best phone on the markert and its certainly worth the price, my only fear tho is the covers fading like the Samsung D900i.
