Samoderzhets , 22 Mar 2024It's the same phone more or less A54 had storage issue, if they upgrade in this model definetely that good reason to consider A35 over A54.

Due to software or hardware issues a smartphone can stop working and only solution is flash stock rom which erases all previous data from internal storage. I had such issue in 2020 but luckily my default media storage was my SD card so service centre removed the SD card before flashing & my data remains safe.

Remember Samsung will have big sale discounts on these new A phones in a month or two. If you like them for goodness sake don't pay full price!

Full resolution, 22 Mar 2024Very thanks for full resolution 50MPixel photos.I know right! I'm glad that they started including them again in their reviews cz I for one is someone who benefits massively from that high res mode.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2024After having all my photos corrupted on the SD card on my o... moreWell, the reverse of your experience happened to me. My old Android started to bootloop suddenly and just died, nothing was recoverable from the internal memory and lost all the photos and documents that were in it (and no I'm NOT a fan of cloud storage options where I'm not in complete control of my data storage or access). But I had a very good micro sd card which I bought from a reputed store (a V30 standard SanDisk), and only the photos and documents I backed up to that were saved that day.

            So two things.
            1. Bashing on micro sd cards is not the way forward. It remains an invaluable specification for many smartphone users, especially outside of the US amd continental Europe where data plans are still very expensive (and also slow).
Having the option to have an SD card never hurts anyone, just like having the ability for dual sim card usage...

            2. Buy memory cards ONLY from reputed stores and brands and most importantly, find the card specification that suits your smartphone!

Many people just insert a class 10 card and try to transfer/ record 4k directly onto it and wonder why it failed.

Now I'm filly aware this isn't what happened to you but the takeaway is to buy a good genuine card that suits the bare minimum spec needed for your device.

            Just my two cents....

And it’s really just a bandaid solution when the real solution is to provide enough options for internal storage (at least a 256GB option and better a 512GB option as well) at prices that are not ripoff.

AnonF-1006353, 22 Mar 2024Somewhere you gotta store all these 200MP pictures, raw fil... moreWell this phone can't record 8k video (which is pointless unless you have like a £4000 8k tv) or take 200mp pics (again pointless, i use an app let lets me do 4k 80mbps recordings on my find x5 and just waste) or output high looseless FLAC audio.

Youre looking at £80 for 1tb MicroSD cards on deal, price is £100 on the low, £130 on the higher end. Can grab a portable SSD for about £45-55 for 1tb, about £80-100 for 2tb (throw everything on that and then have all the free space on your device for when you're out). I do guess at this price it is just nice to have the option but plenty of ways (and cheaper) round the issue.

rizki1, 21 Mar 2024How can microSD make a phone better overall? This Samsung h... moreSomewhere you gotta store all these 200MP pictures, raw files, 8k video and hi-res flac files you know.. You can easily put a 1TB microSD in that samsung for just 70 bucks and nearly never run out of storage for simple media files. While some realmes and xiaomis won't even offer 1TB internal storage options.

It's not about having one or the other by the way. Having all options in one phone would be the goat, from periscope to 200mp to microSD

if this A35 equipped with SD860.. it will have 630k+ antutu score plus better performance than a34 last yr.. Exynos1380 scores only 580k+ so if u have seen a34 better to buy it before its too late

I'd like to buy Samsung phones. But here in my home country, I feel that for the specs available, Samsung phones are quite overpriced. So I have no choice but to use Redmi and Xiaomi phones, for their value for money.

Jon8652, 21 Mar 2024A35 and A55 are way too overrated. Low storage options at h... moreI mean, does Exynos really overheat as much as we thought it would? The Exynos 2400 seem to just heat up a more than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but that's the flagship chipset so that's another story.
I have been gathering tests and videos across the internet, and while the Exynos 1380 on the A54 does tend to heat up, they have managed to optimize it on the A35, and the overall performance is comparable or better than the D1080.
The same thing could be said for the Exynos 1480 on the A55 to be honest, it ran most task as fast or better than the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 while actually remained cooler and use less power than the Snapdragon.
So while Exynos might have a bad reputation, that doesn't mean they won't improve. While the flagship could be lagging behind, I would say the midrange SoCs are on their way to catch up.
