walkman8, 21 May 2024Plenty of folks, but the right question is: Is it worth buy... moreAgreed, the pura 70 ultra is too overpriced that people will look for alternatives, which has a more complete package (5G and GMS out of the box).

David 040882, 21 May 2024You could've done more sales, Huawei, if you only pric... moreThat's the problem with the sanctions, it has severely crippled it. It needs a ton of funds to survive. Hence the steep price, too bad. Probably wait 6 months to a year, the price would be much more reasonable, I've noticed that the prices of Huawei phones tend to depreciate really fast, since the ban took effect.

xslvrxslwt, 21 May 2024I've tried this phone. Compared it to my FX7U. Too muc... moreDon't see no artifacts or artificial sharpening in the images provided by GSMArena, nor did they say that there's artificial sharpening

This phone is not meant as a global release.
So the question is, If It's priced competitively in China or not.
BTW, why is there no 5G support? I thought Huawei has the technology.

Uninspiring and childish back design that looks like a little cub's face with a sleepy eye and a sticking out tongue. As for the retractable lens I'd hate to think the mechanical parts are displacing solid state

Sorry but the price of this phone is a joke. Huawei does not want to sell this phone outside their own country.

Huawei has slightly increased the focal length and the effective aperture diameter of the periscope camera. The effective lens diameter is now 7.14mm instead of 6.93mm (P60 Pro).

I've tried this phone. Compared it to my FX7U. Too much AI sharpening and artifacts make it inexcusable for a $1500 device. Looks 2020 diehard..

This phone is honestly simply weaker, but the main camera's genius design cannot be overstated. (The chipset shouldn't be an issue, however. Its basically about as powerful as the Tensor G2, and I have had no performance issues with my Pixel 7 Pro)
Huawei obviously wanted to get the 1-inch camera onboard, but found out that it was impossible to do without making the bump ludicrously thick. So they made the main camera lens collapsible.
Xiaomi seriously needs to learn. Because as both Linus and Arun have pointed out, the bumps on Xiaomi's Ultra phones since the Mi 11 have been basically unbearable in terms of bump thickness and weight distribution.

JimmyTheGreatest, 21 May 2024Who can afford this phone...Plenty of folks, but the right question is: Is it worth buying?
The answer is no IMO.
If you are really into niche photography skills, pick either Vivo X100 Pro or Xperia 1 VI.
If you want jack of all trades, s24 u.
For best video, get 15 Pro Max or even Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The funniest thing, all of the mentioned devices are the same price or cheaper than Huawei.
They really missed the mark with this one.
