200 dollars for this sounds fine in the US, but in Europe where this thing is starting at 239 euro, there are many other and better options.
And if I have to believe some people from other regions I know where the price of this thing is too high, the issues is exactly the same there.
Like someone even said, if Samsung sells a cheaper and better phone than you, and Samsung is often the most expensive option in the budget market.
Then you messed up, because there are many cheaper brands than Samsung doing better, and you as a company (CMF) brought out a phone that is worse and more expensive than Samsung.
It is because we have so many better options for that around 239 euro that people complain, if this phone was below 200 euro many people would not complain that much (maybe about lack of NFC which even a 80 euro Motorola has nowdays, but that aside)
So yeah 200 dollars is a fine price for a market like the US, 239 euro is however poor value.
And it's hilarious how many youtubers try overly hard to not critisize the phone, some even totally omitting the cons.

So you can remove the cover, but not replace easily the battery, no audio jack for no reason
For 50€ more they could have included a mediatek 8300, so 250€ phone, but it would double the performance, better than their current high end, priced at 500€

This phone is full of stupid decisions... They make the back removable but not the battery, why?? They remove NFC which is available on phones costing 100 less... And they give the phone a mono speaker for some stupid reason.
So many brands out there that give you more for the money.

Hiw come they managed to make it as ugly as the Nothing phones? Even the ROM UI looks so ugly and depressing.

One thing it offers that most phones in the category don't is that 720 nits on the slider. That's massive brightness and right along the current flagships. This, along with its general build and overall spec, makes it, in my eyes, the ultimate budget phone. It's got the big screen, with flagship level brightness, HDR support, great software, easily fixable, insanely low price, and enough performance the majority of people. This thing will sell like hotcakes.

I really like where this company is going but they should have reduced the screen to 60hz and put those savings into NFC.
I have a strong feeling.theyre going to start selling battery replacements like fair phone.

If you are in India, I would strongly suggest you to go for moto edge 50 fusion. For 3000₹ more, you get all the box contents like case, charger(68w), arguably better screen, stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos, two 50mp rear shooters with the main shooter having OIS, smoother animation in the UI overall, CMF is just a gimmicky phone trying to hide all of its flaws by giving a "removable back" although you can't essentially remove anything apart from the back cover.

Seems to be the only lower mid range phone that does not exaggerate the size of its main camera sensor by putting a very big lens above and then another big black ring around it
