A phone with screws on the back is literally the ugliest thing I've seen in my whole life. I'd rather be homeless, on the run, or in jail than be seen with that poor excuse of a phone.

    Every reviewer is basically praising it, since it gives a lot for the price. Here in the comments is the only place I've seen backslash lol. Like a little sad echo chamber.

        The tragedy of a gimmiky. Why, oh why? All of that only for a removable back plate , and the battery is sealed. I actually was against this roumor when some guys talked about it, but whell is true apparently... and yeah makes no sense whatsoever, if i want a color i buy the color i want, is that simple. And by the way this is no way sustainable, more like wastefull. Funny cause fairphone, that is actually a true sustainable device was way to criticized for beeing sustainable, and this, device that is non-sustainable is called sustainable? Oh well.

But all of them have no idea why this devices actually work, and what faster cpu actually means...

              While the specs aren't to die for, I think this phone is cool. Whether you interpret that "cool factor" as a gimmick is your own subjective opinion. But to me, it's cool and therefore gets my recommendation. Spec heads should look away.

                Decent overall but the cons are really hurting it. An unimpressive speaker makes the good display weaker, no OIS is just bad in general and no.NFC is disappointing too, since it means you can't pay with your phone.

                  This comment section is a striking example what happens, when the industry ignores customers to satisfy governments and other needs.

                  3.5mm, the one easily replaced by an adaptor, is missed here.
                  Removable battery, hopes got up seeing the screws, but its missed.
                  If it didn't have microSD, we'd miss it too, but it has it somehow.
                  NFC is missed, even though Indians use it rarely. I don't atleast.

                  Customers always win.

                    Why didn't they put a headphone jack, nfc, and a more easily removable battery here? You already went and sacrificed good ingress protection, you have no excuse. Idk why you wouldn't just save the extra money and get a nothing phone 2a if you wanted one of their phones. Maybe their second try at this will be better lol.

                      I like this very much and would be ok for my use. But no NFC - No deal.

                          Almost if not all early Android phones put the volume rocker & power button on the opposite sides, so that's the "traditional" way. This started to change only 6-7 years ago. How old is this reviewer?

                                good price for the specs but the phone looks mad ugly ngl

                                  As I Was Wondering ahead of the launch the CMF Phone 1 will creat madness now it's happening. Surprisingly It creates more madness than Nothing Phone (1), Am I Right?

                                    It also depends where you live, base CMF 1 is 239 euro in my country, base A35 is 230 euro.

                                    256gb CMF 1 is 269 euro, 256 A35 is 273 euro.

                                    A35 has:

                                    - 4 OS upgrades and 5 years of security
                                    - NFC
                                    - Ultrawide (always better than depth or macro cam only)
                                    - GG Victus+ on front
                                    - IP67
                                    - Stereo speakers
                                    - esim
                                    - 4K on selfie cam

                                    CMF 1 has:

                                    - a littlebit better chip
                                    - interchangeable back
                                    - faster charging
                                    - brighter display (not that samsung is much worse)
                                    - better battery life

                                    When Samsung is better than you for around same money.

                                    As a company, you made too many mistakes.

                                    And imagine now if we look at other companies for same price, it will only make CMF look worse.

                                      I also want to point out that this phone could have been "pioneering" considering that the EU laws to take place in 2027 means that manufacturers of portable appliances should feature replaceable batteries that can be easily removed by the end-user. What a wasted opportunity.

                                        Even if you personally don't like his version maybe help recommend it to others that can live with the ips and if they get enough sales maybe the max 2 will be OLED

                                        But supporting this version is crucial
