I agree with everything else you've said though. Making the ultrawide 12mm and downgrading the sensor to an absolutely tiny one was an absolutely unacceptable move. What they really should've done was this:

The difference in quality is truly shocking between UW Z60U and this especially at night (i had to open a separate tab to compare) no wonder they didn't include head to head comparison with Z60U lol Also that main camera bump is too large and is VA really worth it? It would be 100x better without VA but with Z60U UW cam :/

If sensor has base iso of 24, phone maker is not gonna " set " 100 as base.

You are not going to see 2 phones with for example using ov50a using 100 and 200 as base.

Drop to 50% and no mention of that being a con.

Not to praise Asus but Rog 9 got much less CPU throttling and one of the cons was "it throttles"

But a drop to 50% with Nubia is fine?

Also the updates and translations is mediocre as usual, yet it is not mentioned as a con.

                        Usual review woes I guess...

Dear GSMArena reviewers, in the ultrawide camera section you uploaded the same pictures on 18mm, 13mm and 24mm. To better clarify, the first picture in the 18mm section is absolutely the same picture in 13mm section and in 24mm section; same exact file; same exact exif data; no difference in focal length. The same is for the second photo of 18mm, 13mm, 24mm, the third one and so on. Please fix the issue and upload the right ones. As a owner of a ZTE Axon 40 ultra I was waiting for this review to change my phone and for what I can see now the uw camera is a terrible letdown. Thank you

Disappointing results, but can we take a moment to point the quick review from GSMarena ?
We groaned, complained and waited for so long to get the Z60 ultra review earlier this year, so kudos to publish the Z70U with such rapidity !

But guess what? His own company's latest phone comes with a massively downgraded ultrawide camera and worse battery life over its previous generation.

Current generation phones are such a disappointment. Either nothing new or impressive, or even degradation comparing it to last year.
