Aland, 16 Jan 2025I wonder how cool people think Iron Men is? I don't, and would never buy anything with such design, but I like the green model, it looks pretty... And different.

I've been watching a few reviews... This one is a very strong release from xiaomi this year. It really stands off with all of its features, and its downsides are easy to pass given its pricing and strenghts.

Rolly Ghiz, 16 Jan 2025So what is the cause for the subpar battery life of this de... moreXiaomi's battery optimization in their OS has been going downhill since the introduction of MIUI 12.5. Now they require 20% larger batteries to achieve similar results to the competition. Like they said in the review: here the battery is fine, but you would expect even more from 6000 mAh. It has gotten praise from other reviews though but battery testing methodology varies from each publisher.
Through my usage, I can say it is far better than the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G it is replacing, and basically the same endurance of the Samsung A55 I also owned for a few weeks (had to return that one for its PWM which I couldn't deal with).
The chipset itself is absolutely fine and I wish more OEMs use it for more devices. This phone has raised the bar for the sub $350 segment.

I actually changed profession when I was very young, after having to deal with spaghetti programming. The money was good then, but it wasn't worth it, having to deal with all the mess, even on my weekends. By the way, I don't know how old you are and if you ever heard of spaghetti programming.
Even if you don't root the phone, the changes you make will be detected by the IT departments of the bank and insurance company. Their IT staff is as smart as you are. They will demand you give them your phone for forensic analysis. The tinkering will be used against you by their lawyers. It's their job to make sure you don't get compensated, this is how they make money actually, otherwise they'll lose their job.

So what is the cause for the subpar battery life of this device, the new configuration of the chipset or that rather poor optimization of the software?

These days I usually go straight to the battery life test first in these reviews. Anything less than 15 hours is a no.

I don't think you've ever dealt with a bank or insurance company, after being defrauded, while using a compromised unit. Let me put it for you in plain English: You can kiss your money goodbye! The problem doesn't end there, you will even be forced to pay a compensation for the time the bank had to spend on "helping" you. They get paid per hour.

For users of this phone, get shizuku on pc to debloat it and maybe it won't underperform your battery expectations.

Had my Poco X7 Pro now for a few days. No charger in the box is a problem. Wish it had e-sim. Screen colors are a little washed out compared to my Moto G84 and OnePlus 8 Pro. It only charges at about 12 W with any of my existing chargers. Stupid European Union law on chargers is screwing us in Europe.
