Anonymous, 27 Jan 20251/2 the flagshipAnd you get ⅓ price of iPhone and ½ price of Android lower tier flagship but it still have enough sustainable GPU power to run whatever iPhone does on 12 bit Amoled. It's pretty stupid to complain or even direct compare it. If you use it for games you probably won't miss much with this. If you want ultra anything or towards extremes or pushing boundaries in any way this is not it, but who cares.

I bought one late January and received it 5 days later. I had to get a phone that can do decent gaming since my Huawei Pura 70 ultra runs too hot a few minutes after starting a game.
The phone is light despite the mighty battery hidden inside. The screen is great. The speakers are great. The chipset don't get toasty like the expensive Pura. So far the ads in HyperOS isn't too intrusive. It felt great to have native GMS again. It has IP68 rating and IR remote like the Huawei flagships. The only thing this phone lacks is a decent set of cameras. Could have used a single decent camera and a better selfie camera.
Given everything, my Poco X7 pro 12gb+512gb with a 90W charger is a steal for about USD 300. Purchased from Lazada.

The X7 Pro is enticing. I don't need a phone right now, that's why I'm waiting to see what the F7 will entail... I'm a little worried about how Xiaomi will price it, because they started jacking up their prices in recent years, maybe because they're trying to push the F-series into the upper tier realm, which is a bad strategy, because the F-series has a huge fan base, specially among the gamers/students/nerds/techies. It's a poor man's gaming phone. I'm not a gamer, though.

JimmyTheGreatest, 21 Jan 2025Do you have a Xiaomi service center where you live in the M... moreThere are some I assume. I think the official importer has a lab also.
Problem is that once the factory lamination goes around the screen of any smartphone, the phone becomes far more vulnerable to water ingress, even if you do manage to replace the battery, thus leaving you with the decision of spending a money on replacing the battery, only to get a phone that will be far more susceptible to moisture and corrosion and thus probably won't last very long - or just buying a new device and having peace of mind.
I'll miss my Poco F3 with its amazingly small, unobtrusive and pretty high quality selfie cam (for some reason a rarity, even today) and its efficiency and performance. It was a great phone overall with some unique features, but I fear it is time to move on.
I'll see how the Poco F7 looks - assuming they launch one at all - and the price, but for now the X7 Pro looks like a strong contender so far.
Question is how long I can risk waiting with a potential time bomb held up against my head.
We all saw what happened to those beepers...

There are some highly skilled people that are capable of fixing the problems you mentioned. Usually they are young and have been "playing" with electronics since they were teens, and there are a lot of them in my country, the problem is finding these people...
The reason phone shops refuse repairing phones with bulging batteries is maybe they're afraid of the phone exploding or self ignite. I've actually seen scary video clips about it. Paradoxically, I understand them. Nobody want to set their own shop on fire in a mall...

The adhesive connecting the screen to the body started to come loose around the lower half of the phone ever since it overheated. A sure sign of battery bulge.
Then it dropped from 16 - 17 hours of battery life on an average day, to 8 - 10 hours before needing to be recharged. Major bummer.

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2025Why you didn't replace the battery? Are your hands too... moreObviously you don't know what you're talking about.
Glue is used in F3, not screws. You can't remove the back panel by unscrewing. The phone wasn't designed to be opened by the end-users. Even the phone shops refused to replace the battery, only one shop agreed reluctantly to do it for €100. It wasn't worth it.
Please educate yourself before posting nonsense.

Since there's no Xiaomi service center where I live (EU), I had no other option but to dispose of my beloved F3. It was emotionally painful. I'm surprised that yours is still operational, given the severe Summer heat in the Middle East...
Bulged batteries are dangerous. The phone could explode or self ignite, which may in turn set not only your apartment, but the entire building on fire.
