    Wished next software update gives more battery efficiency.

      This phone should have the same starting price as Nothing Phone 3A.
      Yes we know Samsung phones drop in price fast, but still its way too expensive and even worse its almost criminal selling for 450E, a base 8/128gb version in 2025.

Keep it for a year by when the next year's Samsung midranger phone gets discounted to a similar £300 or even £250. Then they buy it, and once it's proven to be alright, and the discount period for the new phone is over, they sell their 1 year old phone for about £200 on eBay or similar. That way they always have a less than 1 year old midreanger/upper midranger phone for about £50 to £100 per year, that's not a bad deal actually...

          Maybe the battery drain on both the A56 and the new Nothing phone 3a series are from better screens (that consume more power) or stereo speakers which are draining battery life. Obviously they both have bigger screens too.

              So, the a56 gets a 4.1 star review and motorola edge 50 has the same rating but it's far better than the Samsung in many areas. I don't understand how these ratings work. But if it's a Samsung it always has pumped up ratings

                Anonymous, 21 Mar 2025wait for the oneplus nord 5 instead.. I had a OnePlus 8T before my Samsung A55. I like Samsung's software more than Oneplus's. Also, the OnePlus had a few bugs too...

                  To heavy bloat also get pixel 9a

                    We have an issue here, the SoC even more inefficient (battery drain) compared to Exynos 2400e on S24 FE especially on video and gaming. It's really unexpected.

                      Anonymous, 21 Mar 2025wait for the oneplus nord 5 instead.. I changed from a OnePlus 8T to my current Samsung A55. I like the Samsung software better and also, Samsung is almost bug-free whereas my OnePlust 8T had a few bugs...

                        Back to Xiaomi again then.

                          So:
                          No 12GB variant in my country.
                          Worse battery life than A55.
                          Worse full 0-100% charging time than A55.
                          Slightly faster charging than A55 for 15%-30%.
                          Worse camera performance than A55.
                          Minimially bigger and a little brighter (in auto mode) screen.
                          No micro SD card slot anymore.
                          Bit better performance and better GPU performance, but is this 15-30% even noticeable in real life if one does not play games?
                          Worse thermal throttling than A55 under load.
                          A worse looking (to my taste) camera island than A55's individual camera circles. Also no almost-white color like for A55 (I love white-ish phones)
                          Longer Android updates and security patches, but that's only interesting if one wants to keep the phone for over 5 years.
                          More AI functions (for now, A55 didn't get Android 15 yet), but I only interested in Google's Circle to Search function, and that's already present on A55.
                          I'm gonna keep my A55 :-)
                          Not to mention that A56 cost almost as much as the S24FE which is now often on sale for below £600 or even £550...

                                      My A54 powered Exynos 1380 still sucks in that domain, very fast battery drainer under moderate, intensive use and even on idle mode overnight (100% to 83/79%) with Wi-Fi and mobile data off...Very frustrating and disappointing as none of the os updates received up to now could fix it.

The camera review ... moreVideo playback is more reflecting of media engine and display than chip, browsing reflect cpu better, gaming is disappointment, I don't know it's bug or what but for something which sustain 99% of perfomance shouldn't have that worse score.
