"Xiaomi created a weird giant box thing"

Now, here's an idea to product managers: free tier will have random product insertions on the photo, while pro/paid version won't 🤣

DeepIn2U, 11 Apr 2025Good Editorial overall. THESE kind of posts NEED to be done... morexiaomi one is actually very good but it become apparent that they are trained on different data, like wow he replace the face with very asian like model. of course this mean xiaomi is probably on par or better than samsung ai for most asian market but not for western market.

I prefer iPhone's cleanup. It's neat compared to androids. Duh.

Google went crazy with the Magic Eraser marketing, yet it works like trash. That's pretty ironic.

Samsung does it best and Samsung does it without uploading any of your personal photos to an offshore cloud data centre. Who would have thought working on something for years makes you better at it?

Apple, Google and China are all busy asking an AI bot to write the code for them, because they have no clue what's going on.

Object erase on my S25u goes without addition of any watermark (Holland)

We've managed to survive all these centuries just fine without removing people from photographs. Well, everyone except Comrade Stalin; he really liked to remove from photographs former comrades whom he had sent to Siberia or executed. And now all the little Stalins have the opportunity to delete people. How spectacular is this.

                        iphone is the worst

Good Editorial overall. THESE kind of posts NEED to be done on a weekly basis for Software views. Too many damn arguments about who's the spec king and hating on other brands because is the SOFTWARE that people use THE MOST in phones yet too many kiddies here don't get that.

"we need to give a verdict here. Samsung's solution is the best. It needs an initial setup that won't be to everyone's liking, but it's smooth sailing after that (just make sure you're online). It's the easiest to get to and it works with the least amount of hassle - simpy draw around the thing you want gone and Galaxy AI will do the rest.

Galaxy AI is levels above Google and Apple in texture and pattern generation. It can scan an image for clues and then imagine a coherent part of it when it needs to, no matter the complexity of the thing you're removing - props to Samsung for that! However, it needs to deal with the blurriness that's left wherever AI has touched."

reading the entire review Galaxy Ai is THE BEST action for action, result for result. Personally I see NO blurriness on the resulting eraser edited photo (ONLY during the process).

Unfortunately and this editorial shows the teams COMPLETE and terrible BIAS! After all the issues of Xiaomi's ai editor - you STILL think and state this is a tie? SERIOUSLY!??

Pretty pathetic and false verdict and saying its a tie after all that is said in the editorial.

ChiefDG, 11 Apr 2025Since the Galaxy Ai object eraser is cloud based, you guys ... moreTotally agree with this! Xiaomi and samsung using cloud servers is not a fair comparison with magic eraser and even Apple intelligence, which are done on the device. I get that Apple doesn't have a cloud option, but Google has the magic editor which is by far the better AI of all when removing objects (using Google's cloud servers), even better than samsung's.

Apple is here but not honor? best of them all are honor and samsung so far but overall honor AI as a whole package is the best for now

One of those fake AI things... I mean it sounds great, but...if you are taking a picture of some building/area, then why not just Google for best/most suitable one already made? And if they're people on it, just retake it..or be creative about unwanted details...idk...
Bottom line - erasing objects is just like... pointless to even take out the phone from pocket

The cloud solution (Samsung) is better than those that run on-device like Google and Apple?

Not surprised in the slightest when you have FAR more processing power available. It completely makes sense it would work the best. I'd like to see all of them run in cloud and also on-device though probably not possible due to how the apps are designed.

Galaxy note4 had object eraser. It wasn't called AI but, it got some perks for it's time. My s23's AI cannot remove or add sunglasses from or to faces but, i think upcoming one ui7 will upgrade the AI as well. Apple's results were just abominations lol

Why not to consider honor magic eraser?

Smallworld, 11 Apr 2025So it seems that Samsung wasn't all marketing after al... morethere's a reason why your phones suck up so much battery, whatever you do is being used to train these AI models to be used for more stuff in the future as marketing points/features on phones.

                                        ;)
