I never trust Motorola when it comes to updates and camera performance. I've been burned multiple times.
However, the photos in the review look excellent to me.

jiyen235, 24 Apr 2025This phone is amazing, wow i have no complaints basically. ... moreTbh I'm not really into flip/foldable phones since those cannot be easily operated singlehandedly, but I remember those movies/videos from Japan where everyone was filming with razr phones something on the street.. guess the camera is really important to those people and you are correct in your judgement..
Sadly I'm not the target customer base for such devices..

Guys, as you wrote you have 2 SIM cards. Does this mean, that phone have no eSIM support or it supports eSIM but you can configure them to temporary replace a physical one?

Ouch, painful sustained results. Otherwise, very nice. They should have use something with better thermals that can still pack a punch, like D8400 or 7+G3

sustained preformence is horrible and what kind of underclock chipset is this, it's so weird in terms of geekbench and antutu tests
but other than that, this phone is good

This phone is amazing, wow i have no complaints basically. Wish it had a telephoto instead of the UW cam but the samples overall are excellent and wow is it an ULTRA wide cam haha. Motorola's processing surprised me with the Edge 50 Ultra as they were pretty good but this is just as mature if not even more now. Portrait cutouts could be great, but meh it's good enough.
But look at those selfies! No overprocessing like the X100 Ultra, why Vivo didnt keep it natural is beyond me and the fact that Motorola fit in a brighter (f/2.0 vs f/2.5) and wider (21 mm vs 24 mm) is crazy, the lack of autofocus is a huge bummer but hey you can just use the rear cameras so there's that.
Battery is nice, display brightness is nice, speakers are fine, really decent showing overall. Stress tests look alright, flip phones dont have the best thermals and you shouldnt get em expecting that anyways. For what it is, this phone seems excellent. If a gcam port is available then this is a no brainer for anyone looking for a flip phone. Color me impressed!
edit : nvm sheesh that price hike seems a tad too much. From 1000 USD to 1300? No way. Tho it's weird that no proper pricing is given here and it's pretty annoying looking for it by yourself but anyways it's some crazy pricing

Snapdragon 8 Elite is totally useless for this phone.
Instead, they could have used Dimensity 8400 Ultra or Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
It would be much cheaper and performance would be similar under prolonged load.
But the phone is very good in other aspects.
