i think the N series has become more fashion than function..as for the price.. we could get better for less ....
not to mention the nokia new genreration phones become slow and unreliable after a week...
so i guess i'l be upgrading to something more functional... good bye Nseries... hello Windows mobile 7 ;o)

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2009lolzz i know there's a hard time going on nokia's fan club ... moreDepends on one's preferences. I assume that no one is seriously thinking "Oh I wanna buy an iPhone or a N97 but can't make up my mind", right? Those aren't meant for the same kind of people/users and both are alright phones, each with its own good and bad sides. So I don't see a reason for iPhone users to come here and bash Nokia. Likewise I don't go to the iPhone page and bash it. The iPhone freaks are worse than Nokia freaks a few years ago, and I don't care about brands, I want a phone that does what I need to be done, whoever makes it. For me, it has to have a real keypad somewhere (I feel silly playing games and shooting on a touch screen, for example, or writing long messages - there's a reason why Playstations and computers don't have touch screens), for you it doesn't. And that's just a start. Cheers!

Been waiting for this hyped up phone since it was announced back in December and was really disappointed! Not only does it feel like a toy, the user interface (i.e. icons) seems like the only thing Nokia have actually changed to intice potential buyers. Nokia seems to be following suit with Microsoft (Windows Vista -> Windows 7 with the very little faults). I'm now going to get an iPhone. Nokia, you really have let yourself down. This could have been the "iPhone killer" but infact, you've helped made many potential customers choose the device that you set out to destroy!

Sort of useless unless Nokia A) included the E75 messaging client, and B) made it with a capacitive screen. Had good potential, but without those two "key" features, it won't win over users of Andriod and iPhone. I'll stick to my E75 since it actually has a "real" email client.

I have seen a demonstration of the N97 on youtube (link below)and it showed there was an onscreen full qwerty keyboard in landscape mode. Reviews I have read since the phone was released said there isnt.

Could owners of the N97 please clear this up for me

nokia still thinks because of the "n" series name they are the top class mobile, but they have got worse instead of better since the n95 an n95 8gb boom, the n96 an n85 showed no improvement at all so they weren"t classed as good mobiles, even the reviewer stated that nokia are not putting high class mobiles on there "n" series mobiles nowdays,i had 3 n86 in 5 days so gave up on it,nokia as got to change its strategy towards camera mobiles or there sales will decline more as they do not seem bothered to compete at all in top class camera mobiles but seem more bothered about leading in the mid-range market losing customers to samsung,lg an sony ericsson as they are way ahead of nokia nowdays in the camera quality mobiles

Nokia dealer sales man gave me a 15 min demo and i grilled them for an hr for bringing such a lousy phone. It has weak processor, old techology resistive touch screen, low resolution, It hangs if you start to play a 1GB movie, the touch screen lags behind the thumb speed (low ram 128), wrong side D-pad, No Xenon flash for Rs35,000, primitive camera functions. No smart contact search like in E71, and many more.. This phone was just hipped for no reason. Every demo had just the home screen demo. Because inside it was same old S60 phone. Not worth for 35K. ITs not multi-touch like iphone. Highly primitive technology phone.
