I can't send SMS to other phone number of the same contact. When I tap on the recipient it only offers first number(mobile). All other phone OS's have the ability of showing contact info where you can choose the phone number to which you want to send SMS. No free navigation software.

DO NOT BUY this handset!
First impression was very good. I loved the look & feel of this device. Screen was clear & crisp and looked beautiful. Unfortunately, reception kept dropping out, even in major city areas. Now the screen has developed a fault - horizontal interference lines running across it. I met a girl on the bus and noticed she had the same handset so I asked her what she thought. She said she "hates it with a passion". Her reception experiences mirrored mine. The reception issue is a complete showstopper for me. So now I'm in the market for a new handset.
Bottom line: DONT buy this handset - you will be sorry!!!

Singaporean, 30 Sep 2009I have used WinMo since MPx200 that cost almost 500 USD. Si... moreYeah I am like you, but using WinMo/PPC from 90-s. Unfortunately MS is going to betray the smart people damn! Flashy and scrolly obviously beats smarty :( It appears that this will be my last WinMo phone, because there won't be any others :( Hope they will come to their senses - I do work with these things and let the ones who call these devices "phones" stop for a second and consider what they are complaining about - a few (very few) features they expect built-in and most often they simply afraid to look around for settings, replacement applications etc. WinMo devices are universal machines - they made me stop using laptops many years ago and now what? Because of the confusion of the masses we will be deprived of what we consider part of ourselves :(

There are users of this phone complain that out of 256MB RAM in this phone, 100MB is reserved and cannot be used. Is this true?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625325
Also there is an online petition that say the 3D graphic driver of this phone is not working probably. Is this true?

I got this phone a couple weeks ago for free through a company I work for and am actually running a weekly blog about my experiences with it. Its quite a good phone in my opinion. I switched from the 3GS to it and have only a few slight concerns (most of which are correctible) namely unstable Opera browser and no voice control. If anyones interested in my blog I'll throw it at the bottom of my post, If the admins don't want me advertising it though feel free to pull it out don't need to cause a fuss.

just bought this phone a few days ago.
its already use winmo 6.5, so no need to update anything.
8GB internal storage(no option for 16GB), display is ok,
sounds quality is great (bundled with senheizer hd228 headphones), quick response, and yes it has build in reject calls..
but i don't have samsung apps store option in the menu though, wonder why?
final word ... so far so good

Had my Omnia 2 for a couple days now, really disappointed. Fantastic screen, great UI, nice hardware but it struggles for memory when running applications and gives messages like 'memory critically low'. Gutted, think my next phone will be the Nexus!

I updated custom WM 6.5 without any Samsung's buggy UI.
Almost complains about Samsung's default software especially UI, (Stupid widgets and Touchwiz). So, just give up these trash and make claen your phone with other softwares.
Because it's hardware has very nice performance, after that Omnia II is best phone ever.

Question for the reviewer: when describing the iPhone, why did you not talk about the non-user swappable battery and the short battery life? Apple has scammed the public with the battery situation and no reviewers call them on it. Also the iPhone costs considerably more than other touchscreen smartphones over a two year period.

I lived in Indonesia and recently bought omnia 2 from Singapore.
I tried to update the OS to winmo 6.5 using NPS (downloaded through samsung singapore website). I tried it several times but always stuck in step 4 (installing the updates). Anyone know what might caused the problem.
Additional info:
I'm using XP SP3 (tried previously with SP2 also not working)
My internet connection is using proxy (would that be the root of the problem)
Any possible solutions? Thanks in advance.

Download the program New PC Studio from Samsung's Singapore website. When installing it you MUST choose Singapore as your country. Connect your phone through USB to your computer and run the phone update in the New PC Studio software. It worked with my Omnia II, that is from Singapore and was bought here in the USA.
