Please note that window mobile phones doesn't necessarily have 65K color screens. They are mostly 265K screen display with effective 65k, since winmo doesn't show more than 65k.

All these confusion about 16k, 65k, 262k and 16M suggest either a deliberate move my SE to keep people talking or they are in a complete mess.

Rather than debating more on this, may I suggest someone send an email to their site administrator about why their official site are showing two different specifications? That would end this silly topic forever. Thanks

GG11, 07 Nov 2009Offiacal rep: * How many colors does the screen support? ... more65k color limit is software and applies to both Windows Mobile (all versions I can remember, starting with 2003SE, I have a device here with it) and Android (all versions to this moment).

                Offiacal rep:
                * How many colors does the screen support?
I noticed the confusion in the communction around this topic, but the correct number is 65,536.

                * Will the X10 receive Android 2.0 update (for those who bought from the initial batches with Android 1.6) ?
The UX platform used for Xperia X10 will evolve to Android 2.0 over time.

Honestly i dont understand why 4 inch screen wouldn't support at least 16 million colours. Thi is really a big drawback and it seems they will not going to fix it for the final version of the phone...

You know what the awesome thing is?

All these Mobile-Phone reviewers went to the Announcement event of XPERIA X10. All used the phone.

And NOBODY said ANYTHING about poor rendition of colours.

For all those questioning why no Android 2.0, it's because Google only allowed Motorola so far to have it. So either SE keeps waiting as all the other vendors for it and delays it or releases it on 1.6 with an SW upgrade to 2.1 later on (if it' is believed that 2.0 will only be for Motorola and Android 2.1 for everyone else: http://www.unwiredview.com/2009/11/05/wat-why-all-phones-except-droid-come-with-android-1-6-because-there-is-no-android-2-0-and-there-wont-be-anymore-handsets-with-it/)

Dear SE, honestly, we all love you so much. But you exactly not doing what we want, and not heard what we screaming day by day. Look at every SE forum. There's a lot of people comments about you. It means they care for you. Please give us 1 super perfect phone that can accomodates everyone needs. 2 GB processor is good enough, AMOLED screen would be better. 64 GB internal memory we wish, 3x optical zoom we'll love it, multi touch input just like heaven, digital compass and FM transmitter make it perfect, XviD/DivX HD video no one can't resist, QWERTY Keyboard make it more usefull, Dual type memory card is what we need, 1 month battery life would be comfortable, camera lens cover make it more cool, metal body like X1 make it impressive, finger-print scan make it more safer, water proof would be nice, built-in projector make it awsome, Xenon Flash make it more exciting, stereo speaker make it damn good, microUSB make it more flexible, affordable price tag make it sold out, and release quickly is what we all waiting for. If you doing this, you'll be unbeatable.

Hi users. I've been using the K800i for three years now and I chose not to go down the iPhone path, or HTC smartphones, Palms, Blackberries, etc. I've been waiting for something like this, but apparently the Android OS isn't what was expected. I've always been an SE guy. So is this phone worth it? I'm not an expert when it comes to smartphones, but if it's the Android 1.6 is it possible to upgrade to a higher and better version of the Android OS if it becomes available?
