until now,as I've read about this n900 device though I'm a die hard fan of nokia smart phones i've to say the Maemo have t o long way to go.Though Symbian lacks many things that was wanted as time gone by,but still symbian has matured with time.
-apart from the internet options introduced in the new Maemo5 i still believe it will be hard to use all the technologies that it offers in our daily life.
-i may not use it in a very busy daily works of my life & may be it will be in the pocket until i get back from my work.

Is GSM sure that nokia is working on for portrait mode in all applications.Pl mention following things in your indepth review.
- What is the battery life (elaborate your findings with numbers in hours and minutes including specific applications use.
- Video recordnig quality in terms of smoothness and colour saturation.
- If any internet site is kept open in the background, does it keeps on updating itself say cricket scores or current stock prices say I check the site again after 15 minutes and do get the latest score and latest stock price or do we have to refresh the page to get the updates.
- Does the contact list in any ways linked to calender or task manager. so that we can dial directly from calender application when some task is opened.
- Can we record the incoming call conversation ( most of the readers want this function)
- availibility of speed and voice dials.
- Call barring for a particular number or group.
- Can we use video calls via skype.
Thanks in advance and looking forward for your review.

I will wait for Nokia9020 when it comes out without hardware keyboard.
On screen keyboard is the best for handy devices, then the devise is lighter and less holes for dust to enter in.

Interesting phone from Nokia. About time they get over S60. I'd be willing to give this a try if only it wasn't so thick and had a capacitive screen. Guess I'll wait till next year when they release a thinner single-slab phone with this OS.

Hey GSM Arena,
I'd like to hear about the stereo speakers. How do they compare to the likes of the N95, N97, and 5800? Are they quiet and treble heavy like the N97 or are they N95/5800 like with their loudness and good music reproduction?
Also, how does the touchscreen responsiveness compare to the N97? Does it require the same pressure for your touch to register?
Thanks.

Hi!
Thx for the preview!
I would also like to know about the battery life, and about the skype calls. And,since this is the first time I heard about this OS, I ask you to write a bit more about it.
Thank you

Why have Nokia dived in the querty keypads on there mobiles,as it somewhat spoils the phones making them to wide an heavier,as you want mobiles nowdays that do not stick out to much inside your pockets,Nokia also should have waited till the full software was ready as they did the same mistake sometimes with the symbian software,an then when made available unable to download the software an became very annoying
