BlackBerry Curve 8520 review: BlackBerry Lite

22 December 2009
With the Bold almost reaching perfection in the BlackBerry arts, new horizons need to be explored to keep the spark alive. The tall task to pioneer new territories (in BlackBerry terms anyway) falls on to the Curve 8520. The new Curve has a price tag that’s easier on the wallet...

2 megapixel camera with fixed focus

Hey, RIM, I don't want to take pictures of flowers with a Blackberry but I NEED to take photos of documents and stuff. At least a chep auto focus would be regular. Fixed focus, no way.

jajajaja your comment not that many teens have a bb in there pocket.... you haven't been in PTY, PANAMA, everyone have one and probably 90% of the people that have it dont use it for business, just for fun and talking with friends (im one of them).

Nice review but I still prefer the 8900.

Thank you GSM Arena for the review, the best one on the internet. The 8520 is one of the phones that I own.
BlackBerry does so many things right, and the Unlimited Blackberry Subscription make the 8520 the best value for money smartphone in the world at the moment, and because of it's size and track pad this is my default BlackBerry, and I use it almost exclusively.
It does not have an FM Radio (my only real complaint, but hopefully by next year BlackBerry will include that in their phones)
