Have you guys seen the solution to lack of multitouch?
1-finger zooming is much better IMO than having to use 2 hands. Check out the X10 Mini image gallery video ~ GSM arena blog.

thtcpapa, 29 Mar 2010X1 was not manufactured by SE OEM product by HTCI wonder why HTC never encountered such problems.........Is it HTC's ploy to kill competition from SE? I do not think so and I never heard or read so. It was really disheartening to see how SE is most sluggish in release and R&D. They are just bad copies of good stuff displayed neatly. I have wasted a lot of money behind SE and the new products do not look worth to give another try.

I've made several comments for this devise and its review and I think it's time to make my own conclusion and stop botherig with this subject.
First of all I gotta say that since X10 was rumored, I liked it too much and I couldn't wait until I buy it. But many things changed the past 6 or so months:
- The delay was to big and now the specs are not exactly outdated, but not top notch anymore. If it was out in summer of '09 it would be unbeatable! Today though there are several upcoming devises like Samsung Wave with SuperAMOLED screen and 720p video recording!
- SE had loaded X10 with features that no longer exist. Where are now the stereo speakers, the videocall cam, the multitouch?
- I know that the UI maybe demanded a lot of efford to come out, but Android 1.6 is a drawback, even if an update is on its way.
It's still a pretty phone, but way too expensive for what it carries (not to mention SE's aftersales policy).
And a few words for the team of the site and the review. Guys I love this site and I always read your reviews before my next buy. But in this particular review I have some arguments. There's no word on the battery strength or if there's a digital compass or not (you don't have it in the specs area but you mention it in the GPS part of the reaview). You've also changed some things in the review (lack of multitouch) and in the spec sheet (stereo speakers) and there was no notification, just to inform the readers for the changes. And it is one of the most popular devises on the site!! Anyway, I don't want to be mean, I'm just spotting some lacks. So keep up improving the site!
That was all I had to say. Sorry for the long message, I just could't keep myself! ;)

Sundarababu, 29 Mar 2010Hi GSM Arena readers, like everyone out there i'm a SE fre... moreSE's build quality is no good anymore..........the website claimed the same for X1 too and it has got the worst hardware. The hardware problems and build is no good. The phone got cracks because of heat..........it is not the same anymore. When you talk about build quality, look at BB or Nokia. I was a fan of SE and especially Xperia but utterly disappointed !! No more SE phones !!

If they dropped the price of this phone to a mid range phone, then we could forgive them. But when SE price this phone the way they did and leave out such features, then it would push many people away. Even those who were willing to try out the phone. Really disappointed. I rather try another brand.

I've noticed. They changed tha spec sheet nad now insteed of "Stereo Speakers" now it says just "Yes"!! :o
So bye bye stereo sound... I wish there will not be any other disapointment for this devise! SE was ruining X10 month after moth since the anouncement. Delays, no multituch, no stereo speakers... What else???? :@

Hi GSM Arena readers, like everyone out there i'm a SE freak. I used Samsung & Nokia phones. But always liked SE phones because of its build quality. No other phone maker can match it. Waiting for Xperia X10 from June '09 when Rachel concept is first showed in YouTube.
In recent times, there is a change in my opinion.
First is due to Satio. They faced problems in camera in few geographical regions (surprisingly when we know Sony is best known for Cybershot brand). And the battery for Satio is 1000 mAh only (music phone Nokia 5800 have more battery life than this).
Then, they found their product is lagging behind others and upgraded the processor, battery life & released Vivaz with HD recording - continuous auto focus and removed SE FastPort also)
Come on, what about the one who holds Satio? (WVGA update only??). Why just its not possible to re-release Satio with its expectations met?
Here in India, SATIO cost Rs. 27K and Vivaz cost around Rs. 22K. I would still buy SATIO even if is as high as Xperia X10 if it has HD recording & longer battery life. With few tweeks in design, it is possible for companies like Sony to re-release their product with the expectations met.
Now, Xperia X10 is released. They are playing the same game. Ofcourse, it is now said the OS update will be as soon as in April, but there is no multi-touch functionality even in the update. And by seeing the specs, there is no FM Radio and dual-stereo loudspeakers. But Xperia X10 mini is getting FM Radio with RDS.
SE will be releasing few updates for this phone and then forget the users as usual. Then in another 6 months, there will be news popping in as "SE in works with new andriod model, this time with andriod 3.0, multi-touch, in-built divx support, fm radio & 512 mb ram. What about the one who buys this phone for over 30,000 rupees?
Wake up SE guys. No one will be complaining when it is a low-cost or mid-range model. But when it come to top-end, there should be more carefulness in the specs sheet.
I am happy when u guys put on your marvelous work on Timescape/Mediascape UI and brought out well. But there is still few basic problem with the designing team. Either they are not given enough time to look around the market or enough resource to build them.
Look guys, from june '09 i am thinking of buying Xperia X10. But not planning to move aways for reason as no mult-touch functionality. SE Guys, at least for upcoming phones, add Xenon flash (if not dual-LED flash), dual stereo speakers & divx/xvid support in stock.
And i am planning to go for HTC Desire (expected to be released in April) or Samsung I9000 galaxy (in mid-May -June). Also will try my hands on Google Nexus One. See you guys.

lately i see gsmarena being biased in some reviews that they make..
like the cons of this phone, too many major cons and review say its not a "deal breaker"?!
dont get me wrong i use this site when im buying a cell, but lately its like reading a brochure of the phone maker than a "balance review"..
