Too expensive (typical sony) and only android 1.6....
Brought the N1 in Hong Kong a month ago for HK$1100 less than sony is asking for this.

A SE phone with such bad audio quality??? I must be having a nightmare :( Also, will be hard for them to compete with Desire/Nexus1 which already run on Android 2.1 unless they provide an update very soon... Anyway, thanks for the review gsmarena ;)

Wow! Awesome camera!
Definitely better then my N900. I am surprised that there is not that much noise even fully enlarged. Camera phones really are on the right track.

It's about a month the difference between v1.6 and v2.0 (or 3 months with v2.1), but they took 6 months to build timescape and mediascape for v1.6, need another 6 months for v2.1 t/m-scape

How bad is the sound from the speaker for ring tones???

Won't buy this until SE posts an official update to Android 2.0/2.1 on their web site. I'm guessing SE are playing the old bait and switch tactic and are going to abandon their users a couple of months down the line.
Till then, my new Legend should hold me in good stead.

yes the lack of newer android really brings down one of the most coolest phones today.. think im gonna buy a htc desire instead.. who knows how long that update will take.. months ?? not fun..

Good thorough review, poor device. typical SE, late to the party and not well prepared. they should have put stock android 2.1 on this device like the nexus 1, that should show its true power, and leave the blue UI to a later device once SE sort out its problems. think this will be heading in the same direction as the Satio, so expect some issues and upset customers.
