A Sony device with an average sound quality? How can this be? And I expected this to replace my Sony Walkman X player hence I don't want to carry them both while walking. And by the way, usually, the sound quality comes from the sound chip integrated in the device. So if the device carries poor hardware inside, that results in a bad/average sound quality. Of course adding an equalizer or any other sound enhancers via software updates may help a bit but still, if the sound chip/hardware inside cannot handle the rich sound, it's worthless.
I've been waiting for the X10 for so long now and hoped this to have good audio quality (don't care too much about the Android version though) now that Sony Ericsson has added a 3.5mm headset jack..oh well. Guess I'll have to forget about the X10 now. Anyway, thanks gsmarena for pointing out this very important thing.

Geo, 26 Mar 2010...and has it got stereo speakers as stated in the spec of ... moreit scored average.. i was expecting this to have a good audio quality. cuz im a music lover.. hope sony would make an udate about this..

I hope the audio quality is going to be fixed within 2-3 months when my contract is up. Seriously... it's a multimedia device with a special multimedia app SE spent a crapload of time on and they missed the audio quality?!

I really can't believe I'm going to say that :
But well done Gsmarena it's been ages since I last saw a decent review for a SE handset in your website, I still can't believe that you were objective and honest. I mean you still mentioned the weak points of the handset but on the other hand you were fair and gave the good points it's share as well. Seriously, I would like you to continue this way, my self along with other people have been fed up with all the negative attitude towards SE handsets. So, again thank you, and keep the good work going on.

Is Lacking Videocall capabilities is a main disadvantage for a smartphone even on this expensive fon.is that really im4tant feature?

No FM-Radio!
why do they ship a phone when it clearly is not ready and the customer have to install the software later, do they fear that they will not be able to sell any phone when HTC Desire starts selling so they rush their unfinished phone to the market? Who wants to spend money on this crap instead of waiting 3 more weeks for Desire?

it's been a long time since i've seen a phone that really makes a difference in mobile world.waited too long for this phone's review but at the end i just feel it's another good phone just like other high ends but with a little more spec.still not that attractive to change my current N97.i think it's better to wait and see what will be announced in the coming months from other manufactorers.
