Apple iOS 4 review: Getting there

25 June 2010
iPhone 4 launch day came and went and Number Four has taken over. Today, as the dust settles, we hope to move away from the hype and take a clear-headed look at what’s new in the iOS4. No, this isn’t a full-featured iPhone 4 review, nor is it...

as a concern iphone owner, my advise to all iphone owners who never upgraded their phones to ios4. better not doing it! it will ruin the functions of your device. reboots in few minutes, slow browsing, screen freezes etc... that's why i never upgraded my iphone to ios4 and keep my iphone to 3.1.3 due to what i see from my colleagues who upgraded their iphones and they are now encountering problems.maybe the purpose of apple is to destroy our iphone 3g/3gs so that we switched to iphone 4 which is the price in my country is around hk$12k-hk$14k. this is hell expensive!!!

while the apple iphone os is arguably the best phone os at present quite a few of the so-called cheap apps/games that can be purchased at the itunes store seem to be designed as nothing more than "eye candy" scams to subtly manipulate users to spend money to buy redundant virtual in-app items which generate no real benefit for the purchaser--sorry to see such a great os manipulated by the so-called "iphone app developers"

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2010Whoever composed this list knows nothing about iPhones. Re... moreMost of the items in the "What's still missing" section should be deleted as they are simply unnecessary. People have been asking for more features, which are too much. They want their phone to be as powerful as computers. The review is posted just for the sake of criticizing, which is extremely unfair to the users.

You are paying for $199/$299 and you're asking for everything.

Why not an iOS5 or iOS6 which allows you to heat up your food?

Iphone4's battery life better than expected. So I guess Apple did lie. They said that the iphone4's battery life improved a bit, when it's actually a significant improvement. Here's the link.

i own a iphone 3gs i upgraded to 0s4 the latest os is good but nothing to go crazy over and they finally introduced multitasking.Apple really take there time to advancing their technology and it frustates me a little. On the other hand i still use my iphone because its the ultimate multimedia phone.

Hate it or love it...its simply the best smartphone you'll ever use.
apart from bluetooth file transfer you cannot blame anything more. You will love and keep loving for its multitouch response. I have used the most expensive mobiles from HTC & Nokia which doesnt even come close to this monster.

Get a chance to touch and feel the iphone 4, rest you decide for yourself

Re... morethere there; so now you feel a need to attach android phones as well as nokia phones. the world isn't against you. you don't need to fight everybody who doesn't agree with you... it's ok to not agree. One makes enemies when one tries to force everybody to your point of view. That's what happened to me....

Whoever composed this list knows nothing about iPhones. Really not good.

-Anyone who wants flash on a mobile device is not paying attention.
-Comments on IOS4 on the 3G are silly. Especially since Apple says its not supported except on the 3GS and 4. Funny how they don't comment on how many Android phones are still on 1.6 and will never be upgraded including some pretty new phones.
-"True' multi-tasking? I don't think they understand how Android multi-tasking works. It's certainly not "true" multi-tasking as on a desktop os. It's also highly inefficient and a major cause of poor Android phone battery life.
-Android phones have widgets, which are intrusive and resource consuming because the stock Android OS UI is so awful.
-There are plenty of ways to USB mass storage with the iPhone.
-You can mass mark e-mails as read.
-There are plenty of ways to access the file system not that 99% of users will ever want to.
-You don't need vibration feedback when touching the screen because the iPhone screen, unlike many Android phones, actually reacts easily to touch.
-You can do bluetooth file transfers.
                            -SMS/MMS has multiple delivery notifications.
-I play Xvid and Divx all the time and there are multiple third party apps for that.
-You can add to the iPhone from other apps including Double Twist and others.

ALL photos on the iphone 3gs became blurry after the ios4 update! this is bad because the ones you haven't synched will be blur forever! a little battery drain but it doesn't matter. everything else is awesome the phone rocks!!! let's hope 4.1 will be even better!!!

I didn't know iPhone is so limited with os features compared to others. So success is all about brand and usability I guess... Hopefully I have a chance to test iPhone someday. Now I happily continue with my current phone which fullfills mostly (too small screen) my needs (gps, music player, email and web browser).
