rather not say, 28 Sep 2010i was thinking about getting 1 of these phones im 12 and on... moreThe processor is weak and therefore the phone is slow.
Biggest problem according to the reviews is that it is too quiet - poor loudspeaker.
The operating system is not very smooth.
The screen is well out of date - see Samsung's Amoleds.
For your use and Android phone would be better.

JK, 24 Sep 2010I highly doubt they'll move successfully into the media sce... moreI dont think he hardware is a big issue, the reason being is Blackberry OS in general is not very demanding. For example, the 8900 runs pretty weel and that is a pretty old phone. There is not really any lag or anything like that.
Its true that these are for business people, but oddly enough most of my friends who are between 18-25 have a Blackberry and are not even involved in business, lol.

No reaosn to this GSMs review is anything other than a fair one. It is by all reckoning then a very, very medicore bit of kit. The price of the torch is way too high - fact. Put the two together and you have to ask why would anyone make an informed decision to buy one???

RIM should not put restriction on the connection mechanism. Internet is almost everywhere, application service should not be tighten with the connection.

good phone, new design & nice new OS but it's too pricey!!! its deal breaker specially for BB phones the most unique about them is the BB service (Mails & Messenger) 8520 can do the job if the owner is not interested in the other specifications
thanks

JK, 24 Sep 2010I highly doubt they'll move successfully into the media sce... more"They should consider upgrading the hardware because it's severely lacking in that department."
And not just because they shouldn't stray away from their biz/enterprise inclinations. The prob with "suits" having issues with the term "multimedia" are SOLELY based on that still "cave man" thinking that anything multimedia are automatically A) for entertainment and B) for kids who tweets, attach pics on msgs and do video calls for sexy times. As long as there's still this perception they're gambling on being stubborn that multimedia are just a progression of how information are forwarded. The minute crackberry addicts start to realize the possibilities for say BB OS 7 then they'll start to demand better worth for their money spent.

Raj, 24 Sep 2010Its a step in the right direction, I hope Blackberry contin... moreI highly doubt they'll move successfully into the media scene. Their focus was entirely for the corporate world. It's all fine and dandy that they're trying to improve on the media aspect but it wouldn't be wise to stray from their main strong hold. They should consider upgrading the hardware because it's severely lacking in that department.
