Simply Unbelievable...!!! I had posted that C is better then A and then B. But never thought that C would be N8(Although I was praying it to be N8). This is as unbiased as it gets. We gave the opinion that C is the best without knowing which is which and the result is right in front of us. This is first step towards replacing compact cameras. There is still lots to be done still(like optical zoom)... But hats off NOKIA...!!!

truth?????, 06 Oct 2010ok guys i have seen alot of other reviews of nokia n8 camer... moreall the reviews on other sites shown n8's camera as a bad or average performer, GSMArena have taken a different way by letting readers post their opinions (there was no really big difference between the 3 Cams)

It´s true that N8 it takes beautiful pictures..Why even bother bying an Iphone, you have no choice to do anything with it..come on..with other phone you can always swap memory card when it´s full..but no..not on Iphone..you have to stick with any thing that apple sell..no choice to swap memory cards..you can bye 2 N8 phones for one Iphone4 here in sweden..and I can hold my N8 how I like in the hand without losing connection.just face it..right now the N8 takes greater picture than any other phone

Congratulations N8! you fulfilled your promise!
On the other hand the lack of certain Software-related features is DISAPPOINTING!!
Samsung Pixon May Have lost, But it has certain Options like:
-touch Focus (plus it can track moving objects)
-wider ISO Range
-Maybe more powerful Xenon Flash....
-SlowMotion Video
Some my argue that these Features are not that important... but its always nice to have little extra options on board.

imac, 06 Oct 2010I'm sorry don't see the point in your comment...right now g... moreYou do have a good point. It would be great if my cell phone camera could double as a point and shoot camera. I believe this will not occur as most point and shoot cameras are used in less than ideal conditions. The lighting is far from ideal requiring; a high energy flash that is activated multiple times for every picture. The camera is being vibrated some requiring image stabilization. Furthermore, point and shoot cameras need to mechanical zoom as people shaots require less than 30mm and sporting events and concerts require greater than 100mm. One requires a large lens and battery to perfrom well as a point and shoot camera. both of these requirements are hard to accomidate in a modern "Smart Phone".
I believe that there is a real place for "travel device" that has rudimentary telelephone functionality, 2G quad band voice and text, along with full point and shoot camera functions. Much like the recently revealed panasonic camera phone.

@the guy who posted the link to mobile-review.com's review. Do this for me. Look first at the photos, then read the text that comes with them...
Tadah!, they have nothing to do with eachother!
Look at these photos

He claims both are the same. "In other words, these shots are equal.."
Now.. try to read the plate on the SamsungWave shot. Or look at the lights. or at the trees.. or any detail you want. There is no detail whatsoever at the samsung shot, and the Nokia one is pretty detailed to me, if you ask. Really. That guy just holds a grudge against Nokia, reminds me of certain engadget review..

Alex, 06 Oct 2010TO ALL... iPhone does not focus on taking photos and mobil... moreI'm sorry don't see the point in your comment...right now gsmarena have just shown up that the nokia n8 is a better snapper than one of the best simple point and shoot cameras so why say phones can never be better at taking pictures than a digital camera??? Nokia are heading in the right direction and are improving fast in the camera department since the release of n95,n82,n86,n8 you can see the fast improvement and i do believe someday smartphones will be capable of replacing point n shoot cameras and with social networks improving fast allowing sharing of high def photos i think it'll be much more likely to find a smartphone able to share shoots via 3G or wifi than to find a digital camera with 3G/wifi support

wow nokia, you've made a point. You are king!
i just went to see the price of the SONY camera, its $359 at futureshop in canada. That means, nokia just $hat on one of THE BEST point-and-shoot cameras ON THE MARKET! this is some serious talk over here...
for all you haaterz, sit down and think about what it is you hate about this phone besides the fact that YOU must drop your $hit aSS bb's, iphones, and android phones to get some astonishing features in a phone.

Ravi, 06 Oct 2010Wtf? N8 cant beat Sony HX5. HX5 has 10x optical zoom and N8... morecorrect, but can you phone someone with the Sony ? Can you bluetooth a special made ringtone for your girlfriend ( provided she doesn't own an Iphone )can you watch How to Train Your Dragon/surf the web.... Cameras might be a dying breed unless they come way cheaper and can swallow up to 1TB of SDXC cards and double as 3D PMPs because the Nintendo DS 3D is just around the corner with 3D pics and 3D viewing without glasses etc.. Where will it end and should it, most exciting products are gadgets, even more exciting porducts ? Phones of course, and the N8 is one of those most...
