nicksti, 07 Oct 2010Their mention it like if saying it makes it not true, but d... moreyou should get out more. it is a popular phone. why else do you thing bashers come here on every N8 article? Even apple/android fan boys seem to care too much about this phone to come here.

The t... moreTheir mention it like if saying it makes it not true, but doesn't it seem like GSMA is going waaaaaay out of their way to make us like this phone?
I cannot wait to see what they are going to say about Symbian^3 and the competitors. Maybe they will spend the whole review on the camera.
Nokia just is not as relevant anymore. The first line of this article is amusing. "The Nokia N8 is an immensely popular phone..." I wonder what the context is. Pre-orders? Fans on GSMA?

I think engadget and mobile-review'a comparison is much better. Besides, gsmarena's comparisons is questionable since they did compare the pixon12 with a DSLR before (EOS 350D if I remember) and photography enthusiasts will agree that no cameraphone will ever hold a candle against a DSLR unless they has an APS-C sized sensor or at least micro four thirds.

the sony hx5v is the better camera because it has a proper oprical zoom and image stabiliser. the n8 has a fixed angle of view and wil suffer from camera shake in less than ideal conditions.

Please ... go and download the original images ...
The test has been done showing photo that have been resampled down to 10Mbyte ... this mean images used for the "contest" have been manipulated.
Look original photo of Sony and Nokia ... without manipulation, especially the photo over the test picture quality ... you will see how Sony is superior ... clearly ... after resampling so bad artifact of the low N8 compression are filter away ...
Still N8 is better then the Pixon12 ... but if you consider that Sony sport also a 10x optic ... nobody sane of mind can say N8 is superior to the HX5v on taking photos ..
Plus ... look at the video samples in 720p ... with HX5v and iPhone ... in this context N8 is loosing ... guess why it was not shown this in the "contest"

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2010i think this blind test is genius
GSMA let us choose the b... more"i wonder why there's haters dare to says that this test is not fair or not good.
can you tell me how to do a good camera comparison test?"
what about taking pics with different weather, different location, different objects, closeups, pics of people etc.
For me this "test" shows only "one" pic, all those photos have same weather and same style.
Its very hard to get any details from landscape pics so its not very good way to compare quality, it only shows colours

Pic quality under normal lighting conditions doesn't decide how good a camera is. This review is a joke to me. I had i8910HD 8 mega cam ph. It takes excellent photos if it is under daylight condition + hold ur hand still like a tripod until the preview came out. Camera loading is dam slow. And I sold it . I think N8 is the same damb symbian slowy ph.

Thats the way to make a good camera test:
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-n8-camera-en.shtml
more pictures, more weather conditions, more landscapes.
every camera got its own strong sides.

Dont know what's wrong with everyone's eys but the samsung pixon's photo clarity an quality are much better than the nokia N8's,people still tend to life in the past when nokia was the only or primary choice but over the past 4 years brands like samsung, sony E,htc and lg have really stepped up to the challenge and in many ways surpassed nokia, its no secret that i'm a samsung fan and i'm not ashamed to mention it i really don't know what else samsung must do to proof to the mobile community that they produce world class mobile phones and in some instances world leading.
