Yasmeen, 01 Nov 2010I am interested in touch and type mobiles, but am a bit con... moreMultitasking is limited to the music player and 'Communities' (twitter/facebook) - a bit like iPhone..!
So you can listen to music whilst browsing or texting, but you can't switch rapidly between programs like yo can with, say Symbian60.
That said, apps open & close very quickly with S40 on this device, so i don't think it'll be a problem for many people

Just spent the last few days playing with my new X3-02 (which accompanies my Nokia N900)
A very capable, smart and unobtrusive device for a 'dumb phone' Battery life seems very good if you're in a strong signal area and stay off the GPRS and WiFi (use it like a smartphone and it'll eat battery like a smartphone) After the initial cahrge and discharge I easily get over two days use with average use (whatever that is)
The overall interface just works and is more than snappy enough. The keypad takes a little getting used to (*,# and 0 keys to the right) but the button action is nice - so good to be able to speed-dial by feel again!
The camera is pretty good - EDOF delivers consistent, if not ultimate quality. No problems outside in good light, but suffers in low light. Video is surprisingly good on high quality.
I could easliy use this as my main device; You have to bear in mind the advantages of simplicity and efficiency: there are far 'better' devices with better cameras, music players, web browsers, bigger screens, etc., but these come at the expense of price, bulk and battery life.
The X3-02 will accompany me just about everywhere - you hardly know you're carrying it. Good battery life can be further enhanced by carrying a fully-charged spare in my wallet (they are tiny) and the camera is more than good enough for the odd snap. I can access my email, twitter and facebook with ease and the Opera browser even allows decent web browsing. It's stylish even manages to attract admiration from smartphone owners.
What more could you want?
What more do you

X3-02 user, 28 Oct 2010ex-Nokia N900 user here. X3-02 has become my primary phone,... moreI am interested in touch and type mobiles, but am a bit confused as to which one to go for, X3-02 or C3-01. Do you have any idea what does it mean by multitasking? Is that it cannot run two programs simultaneously in the background? What's your experience about it?

Gsmarena, download sony ercisson g900 or w960 or any uiq3 supported apps will probably work.
at least google map shoukd work because s40 TnT share the same form factor with uiq3 device such as g900. Try it.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2010this is a great phone with great design and great features ... moreHow are its specs outdated? How many other phones, especially in its price range have:
- USB-on-the-Go
- Native Xvid Playback
- wifi b/g/n
- HSDPA @ 10.2 Mbps
- Quadband 3G
Out of those, the iPhone 4 only has 2, wifi n which is available only through firmware upgrade and quadband 3G. The Galaxy S only has triband 3G and doesn't have USB-on-the-Go or HSDPA @ 10.2 Mbps and the Desire doesn't have any of those features. As a feature phone it compares very well.

AM, 29 Oct 2010Once again Nokia came out with a product which customer's d... morewell thought out post. I believe that Nokia's market dominance came about because there products had better reception and voice clarity. I believe they still do BUT these traits are unimportant to urban users. Now every major roadway is lines with cellular towers & most modern cities have cellular coverage in excess to 99%.
I do not believe that all users want better graphics. Some want to be able to configure there device to do certain tasks efficiently with minimal interaction. The ability to glance at the device, and respond without needing further eye contact is hard to loose. Fancy graphics and a plethora of games is no replacement for low recurring labour cost.

this is a great phone with great design and great features IF it was release 2-3 years ago. it's still look good today but features us outdated. why buy this when you can get a similar price with bigger touchscreen phone? another reason why nokia is going the way motorola and sony ericsson have gone ... down! samsung will be number one early next year.

Once again Nokia came out with a product which customer's don't want. Well this happens because Nokia has stopped listening to its customer base and still living in cocoon.
The UI display with the same old boring icons and graphics will once again fail to stimulate the mind and senses of the users.
Revitalization of Nokia will take some time as they need to shed some more fat "too many matrix organization" and get some fresh infusion of talent.
People say don't under estimate Nokia... well, after losing the business category to BB, multimedia to Apple, OS to Android & Apple, Low end dual sim products to Chinese.... Good luck.
Well they need to straighten their acts and "Wake UP" and start thinking out of Salo or Tampere !! :)

i think the phones that were compared with X3-02 is not comparable. The advantage of X3-02 is that it has physical keys. I think GSMarena should have compared this to those touch screen phones with physical keys.
