x10 2.1 review:
i think gsmarena has not done justice to this review n alot of changes have been made
1. although the screen colors remain same but the graphic of the device have been improved alot n u dont see the banding of colors u saw in 1.6.
2. general speed n performance n touch response has improved alot n now perfect touch response
3. battery life has improved alot....disable the background data in accounts n sync when u dont need it n u will get great battery
4. hd vdieo recording is great
overall a great update n now device is absolutely amazing

X10 is NOT a top end smartphone, today 2.1 is an outdated a year to old OS, and not having multitouch or 16M colours or not even a FM-radio definetly makes it NOT a top end smartphone.

i bought this phone yesterday because i've been waiting for 2.1 upgrade. I sell it off today and get my new Nokia N8. The battery i think is awful and i never seen a phone like this before. Fully charge yesterday and i'm using wifi connection just for 10 minutes and it show that the battery level drop till 80%, wtf. Dear all gsmarena pal, please dont ever buy this phone and u will knock ur heads off.

Yes your right it was a mistake saying that the X10 was the first HD recording handset with the auto focus feature. Because the Vivaz was the first to have it.
However, if we are speaking about android devices, the X10 is the first android device with a 8 mp camera, and also one of the first to have the auto focus feature in HD mode.
Finally, don't forget that the auto focus feature in video mode is also included in the mini and the mini pro, so I think SE is pretty awesome when it comes to the camera part.

To be fair, if you first touch the slider in the lock screen you can still use the arc slider motion to unlock the screen regardless of the redesign..

Correct me if i am wrong, but wasnt the SE VIVAZ the first HD capable phone with continous autofocus? or was that mention of the X10 being the first HD capable handset with continous autofocus limited to Android OS phones only?

Why is sony even wasting time and money on this device, they should just drop support on this device and probably even offer full refunds and call it quits on the mobile market or focus on a better andriod device.. even the multi touch is no where near on this device ROFL!

I gave up on SE 2 years ago after getting their disappointing Xperia X1. Don't see the situation improving with latter SE handsets either. Bet SE will find someway to stuff up either WP7 phones (if/when they do release them).

Well after reading the review, I am soooooo SAD!!!! i was hoping like: please make this real better please!!!....and what a bluff!! multitouch out, 16 million colours out... I discovered HTC desire HD in stores, that's the real phone, if I could I would change mine X10.
I believed to much in Sony, to much in the update, to much in the adds for this phone...to bad!!
Unless they make the update to Froyo for this X10, which would be a miracle!!!!
