7 touch screen phones in a row. There're all the same. They have limmited usefulness as a phone due to lack of touch typing, difficult one-handed operations, diffuculty in entering numeric tones during a conversion with a computer.
remind me why touch Screen phones are better...

Great phone and great review as well!
I think the phone may not be the best true, however, it's still a nice alternative and it offers a lot. And after running 2.1 the phone seems much better, faster and snappier!
Thank you gsmarena, I think I can safely recommend this phone after this review :)

I am giving up on Sony and Android and waiting for the new Sony Windows 7 phones as I tried one out in the shop and it was lightning fast with no lag plus xbox live!
Too little too late sorry, I've left the old fashioned Android train and it looks like Sony will too.

Also, text message interface got a great facelift =)
As well as the phone-book and dialing.

Regarding the Arc-Sweep to unlock phone.....
Its still there!! I caught myself still doing the arc-sweep, and it'll still unlock the phone, as long as you start at the lower left corner. Try it out =P

The UI is still terrible. Everything is blue, you can't tell different functions apart quickly, and mediascape / timescape are useless.

The screen is still dog crap, still no multitouch (officially), still made of cheap plastic.
