S60 UI should dead!! Symbian S60 system still the BEST for Smartphone but Nokia need Smart people too improvement S60. poor Nokia.. Get Well Soon

      hI all me using now this phone and i can say tHis phone is good and so fast , and it is two time faster thEn nokia 5800 or n97 ,,, and about symbian !! is bettEr then befor really , but nokia should do sOmething bettEr , it neeI a lot ram , now nokia c5-03 had 128 ram , but it Need moer then 384 ram or 512 , and it have 600mhz but it need more then 800mhz speed , we know android is so fast ,, but thats not mean symbian is slow ,, i hope nokia will make phonE with 512ram 1gzh speed symbian^1 or symbian^3

        With touchfones becoming MM devices, anything less than 3.5 inch screen may not bring out the best of all applications.Nokia seriously needs to mull over it. 2011 will see a slew of larger screen fones.

          I'm kinda curious about the fact that there is no onboard pdf viewer. I've taken a look at the nokia spec pages for both "europe" and "mea" (middle east and africa), and interestingly enough, the "mea" pages states that the phone *does* have a pdf viewer. this is also stated on the forum nokia device spec page.

          Does this mean that the phone has different features depending on the area in which it is being released, or has nokia just made a mistake on their website?

            how to remove the memory card from the phone? Can somebody guide? I have difficulties on doing that. Thanks for ur help.

              There is mistake in review! Nokia c5-03 can record video in 640x352pix and 30fps! And quality is not so bed.

                I dont think nokia intended to make this mobile with good complete features.
                I think they just intended to make it a feature phone with a little bit of everything at a low price.
                And I think they did a good job.
                Can't afford an iphone/N8? get the C5 Touch.
                Can afford and iphone/N8? stop wasting time on this one.

                I think this phone makes a great gift

                  I have never posted here before, and never intended to, but this seryas's comment was too ridiculous.

                  First, nokia has been offering a downloading store 8 years before iphone. so forget about copying android.
                  as for the push email, that has been available in nokias since about 2006, about 2 years before andorid was born, and when android was born, it was rubbish. the subsequent updates made it relevant.

                  Apparently, the only poeple who are not 'aware' are people who dont buy nokia.
                  even multiple touchscreens have been available on E63 for a long time.

                  android brings nothing new, it just copies iphone and nokias

                      Very true Sreyas. Symbian is slow, boring, outdated OS. Comaparing Symbian to Android is like comparing Dos to Windows. S60 was good few years ago but in these times buying symbian device is a waste of money.

                        TSH, 20 Dec 2010FWIW, it just beggars belief that with hardware specs like ... moreSymbain is waste operating system. It is outdated. It has started copying Android features like the Android Market i.e. OVI Store in Symbain. Then the Push Mail feature. And there are lots of issues in Symbain phone.
                        People are using it because of 2 reasons:
                        1. They are not aware of other smart phone operating systems like Android.
                        2. Some people believe that Nokia is the best brand.

                          FWIW, it just beggars belief that with hardware specs like this Sym^3 wasn't used. The kind of hardware needed to run Sym^3 is hardly cutting-edge and it has a far superior UI for touch.

                          S60 still has a place - namely on non-touch phones. And there are plenty of those around, and a market that wants them. Touchscreen phones (with the possible exception of "touch'n'type" handsets) should *all* have Sym^3 capable hardware, and should *all* be running Sym^3.

                          Nokia really should be learning from Apple's approach: consistency across a brand is powerful. Nokia has the hardware variety to offer something to every market segment - now it needs the software consistency to make using any "Nokia Touch" the same as any other.

                            liked the review specially the family tree thing. But it wont hold nokia for much longer. I m a great nokia lover, despite shifting to android, may b samsung or lg dual core.

                              Totally useless software (S60) Nokia trying to put same software for this model (same as C6) this clearly shows that no extra facilities in this phone

                                  symbian need new ui engine to compete with android and rest , by the way 7 piece of nokia e7 has been sold in indonesia yesterday , u know that indonesia is biggest communicator fans ,

                                    I have this phone and can confirm that GSMArena is correct! You still need to tap twice sometimes while browsing the menu. Why blaming GSMArena for Nokia's faults, when you could blame Nokia for them? The UI is pretty much the same with only some minor design changes. And, sadly, the phone is pretty slow at times (check out the UI demo video and you'll see).

                                      Tried the phone in Nokia stores, the Symbian^1 system requires the single tap throughout the system, the updated icons are also nice...GSMArena didn't really do their homework, disappointed, think the first device from Nokia running symbian^1 deserves a more in-depth review, anybody agree?
