The best tablet platform in terms of features and customization is undoubtedly Android HoneyComb while iOS may be more simple and intuitive. However, for the true tablet experience we need high quality applications and games and hence the device of my choice is iPad 2 with 65,000 + tablet optimized applications.

ipad is good for pilots, keep the thousand of charts, and software to calculate heading, route, ...in the Ipad. watch movies on youtube.
no need to carry and update the jepesen binders anymore.the ipad do it automatically.
before the ipad, same system costed 3000-6000$.
if i get a flying job again ,I would certainly buy an Ipad2 or 3!

@GSMARENA.., Don't point @motorola xoom for non flash support.., as if ipad2 is having it.., atleast there is hope that xoom will get it in some time.., but for ipads .., lol the world knows

I don't agree with the list of disadvantages for the iPad 2.
I guess it's similar to buying a car and putting down 'You must unluck it with the given key' as an disadvantage.
Not fair is it.
You basically put what how the iPad 2 was designed to do - as a disadvantage.
This brings into question the credibility of your articles.

Sales dont mean squat to someone who wants more than a weak camera, a child's toy OS, proprietary connectivity, and thousands of garbage apps for people who don't know what a browser bookmark is, or who think photo editing means a bunch of cheesy effects and fake frames. Wake me up when Apple makes a tablet I can use the way I want, instead of the way Steve Jobs approves.

...as much as he is wrong, as well. Why does everybody argue with the perception that, to date, any tablet is intended to replace a laptop or a pc?!?! Why isn't it possible to understand that this new and robust category of products is trying to set a path...a course of things to happen in the future...in the very near future indeed...when eventually, this category will indeed become so much developed, in order to indeed find its place in the habits of many, many consumers, thus replacing (worthy and efficiently) a laptop or a pc? Isn't it obvious, expected and naturally bound to happen?.. And do we really have to be negative, full of criticism and with a miserable attitude against anything innovative?.. For crying out loud People!..

The Nvidia Tegra 2 processor is yet to be fully used by developers so a lot of programs work like shit on it. Seen tests that a single core processor from Qualcomm is outperforming it by a long shot with a lot of applications....
And Android 3.0 still ain't going to be as smooth and as easy to use as iOS.
Why do people want to replace their desktops or laptops with a tablet??
A tablet is ment for portable transport and easy to use and stream media etc.
You don't need a bloody USB port... it will only make the machine slower and slower and slower when time goes by (sound familiar? oh yeah windows.....)
And Android 3.0 needs to completely start over again with the Apps since 90% of the current Apps won't work properly since the screen and software are different.....
It's like Mac OSX vs Windows all over hahaha.
Say what you like but Mac OSX beats windows in everything (just too bad game developers aren't focussing on Mac OSX that much yet, but thank god for Blizzard!!)
Coming back to Acer....they just need to go and die as a company...what a load of shit....they took over Packard Bell (or better yet Packard Hell...) which made it even worse!!
I worked in a few PC repaircentre's we didn't even accept those machines since we knew fixing 1 thing would result in a new failure of the machine.....and the customer support is just ROFL! it's so bad you just want to shoot yourself when you call them.....
So just don't come here with talk about Acer....since everyone knows it's just crap...

The tablets are just useless toys for now.
iOS has no future in the current state of development to surpass the PC's (laptops) in any segment (sales, apps, purpose) as Steve stated in his post-PC era speech.
Android for no obvious reason is laggy even on a dual core SoC, although in functionality beats the iOS hands down. iOS is very smooth compared to Android but it doesn't do much. It has a few nice transitions here and there, and that's it.
The only tablet that I would buy, is a Windows 7 (desktop) one.
