greg, 12 May 2011strange-8 or 9 pages and only a few (not clean) words about... moreso true, gsm arena is always vague when it comes to battery life.. its like they use the device for a about a day and publish a review the next, well at least they make good insights, but not the battery life :(

Amazing phone! This one has got it all! and with a great great price!! I mean, really, does anyone need a 12mp camera phone? or a dual-core? 1Ghz processor it's really fast, great browsing experience, good camera, good video, it has led, so you can shoot videos with led light on (unlike nokia n8 :P) great screen, it has android and all the apps that go with it! audio quality is ok, don't know how they say it's terrible like it's a deal breaker...it sounds ok, really, no problem! =)
this is indeed a really good choice of smartphone! and it also looks good! ^^ nice design, very well built... i mean, would you pay double or more just to have a better camera that you probalily won't use or a dual core that you will never use to full capacity?
i have lg black one week now and it's legen..wait for it! dary! legendary! =D

i am very happy with optimus..fast,stylist,slimmest smartphone in the world..battery performance not bad..with android booster,it can lasts longer than other smartphone...please dont compare it with optimus 2x.of cos dual core processor won.i bought black a week ago and guess what...NO REGRET..my one week experience said, i am happy with it.

i really thinking about buying this phone last week, here in the philippines they are both realease the optimus 2x and the optimus black,both are good phones i almost had an headache which will i choose,but in the end i choose the dual core optimus 2x,if this phone is dual core then ill may be choose this.

Can someone who had used this phone before share pls, if the surfing speed is good? I mean the specs are not the best but if the surfing speed and processing speed is fine the price works too! Thanks pp!

the phone is really nice. battery life is awesome too. sliding the status bar allows you to monitor (and disable, ofc) wifi / 3g / and data (yey!) to optimize battery life. comparing this to the optimus 2x is a no-brainer ofc. i got mine for 18,500php. compared to optimus 2x (which is way more expensive @ 26,850php) this is a kick-ass phone with face-melting display, impressive interface, superb browser, and a whole lot more. =)

I am impressed with the phone. I have it in the store. It has a perfect build quality..not like Galaxy S. The menu is fluid and the screen is very nice. I will buy it instead of Galaxy S.

I actually got to play with the demo version of this a lil while ago. not impressed with it at all. nothing really excites me about it. kept thinking i was playing with a ace

Some guys say that the battery last more than lg dual, but it’s new with few recharges.
This phone is wonderful, thin, light, one of the best screen, and very fast.

Plus..don't forget..in the late 2011 Galaxy S-3 will be out..and will be way more powerful than Galaxy S-2, to compete with iPhone-5.
Anyway, Optimus black is perfect for 350 price range!

It's really weird isn't it...
Last year this would have been a top-end phone..
And now with the advent of dual-core - it's relegated to mid-range status...
I have to say, with the speed that mobile tech is going, you'e out of date as soon as you buy a phone(!)
I mean, the GS2 is obviously the best phone spec-wise at the moment...
But then you have the Evo 3D (or whatever it'll be called in the UK) coming out in a few months which will do everything the GS2 PLUS 3D...
It's all good for us, the consumer!
Apart from picking the right phone of course...
For me, after the Galaxy S - I think I may wait for the doubleshot (effectively an HTC Sensation with a slide-out keyboard) - something different!
But I'm really considering Galaxy S2... I just wish you could you emulators more easily on touch screen (no chance) hence the keypad!
