And of course... (I'll shup up now...)
Juicedefender (just the standard one) really does help with your battery life by turning off data when screen is off, and again, it's something that used to slow down the GS1 - but works perfectly with GS2... this is why anyone who says "we don't need dual core yet" is very much mistaken...
All these great HD apps that were sticky / laggy before (and remember that was on a 1gb RAM / 1ghz processor GS1) now run silky smooth...
and if you want to capture screenshots (I always like doing that as I change my theme so much) - press home button and then power button quickly (before task list comes up)
Always handy!

Hi all...
A lot of people asking a lot of questions about GS2...
If there's something specific you can't do - ask me - I'm sure it's possible!
(it's odd nobody's found the self-record thing before - there was even a guy doing blogs on YouTube said it couldn't do it - it can!)
I'd also recommend getting yourself a new launcher (UI)...
I've tried pretty much all of them...
The best one I've found is ADW PRO (costs a couple of quid) - amazing customisation options... and it gives you the ability to hide the status bar (to avoid screen burn over time)
Failing that SPB 3D is excellent too... once they give the option to hide status bar, it'll be my UI of choice!
Another tip is that if you find the Galaxy turning off apps because you've got low battery (music / photo / etc) use a market app...
Best music app (my opinion) Poweramp Pro - and I've tried loads
Best camera app (of a s0-so bunch) Vignette Pro
They'll allow you to take photos / play music until your phone dies!
I'd also recommend Dolphin HD as a browser - faster than the stock one and although it was sticky on Galaxy S1 - it's amazing on S2!

Well, after a good day of tinkering with the phone...
Here are my thoughts...
Bearing in mind I had a Galaxy S before the GS2...
Firstly, I was worried about getting something so similar, I never use Touchwiz (I use ADW or SPB, actually changing every so often just to keep it fresh) so that wasn't the issue...
It was just, a lot of people are saying how good the screen is, but after having a GS1 - you kind of take that for granted... as reviews say it is very similar.
I can tell you having them side by side - the GS2 looks sharper and brighter and just a LOT more impressive...
The real difference is the shape / weight... the GS1 appears cheaper and chunkier than the GS2 (and it's not either!) but somehow the GS2 just makes it look like a poor man's copy...
I'm not going to go into too much depth, but suffice to say...
Major stand-out points..
The camera is just AMAZING - fantastic flash (even though not xenon) and great pictures... and it's soooo quick in starting up and taking photos (really impressive)
And speed is the main key here - my GS1 would crash quite often, it'd certainly lag and stutter, and just trying games like bejeweled 2 and RUA - the performance difference is REALLY noticeable... flowing between screens using different UIs is just brilliant, it really does set the benchmark - and the screen feels closer to the finger - which sounds strange but makes it feel really great to touch...
Sound-wise - much louder speaker (I found the GS1 a little too quiet) - but still easily coverable with your finger should it go off by accident...
Finally (and normally the biggest issue) - battery...
Well, it's only a day old, and I know batteries can take up to a week to get into their stride...
I'd say it was 1.5x better than GS1 - but obviously this varies on the widgets / data you use (I have quite a few which does suck the battery - time to reduce the frequency of updating them I think!)
Am I happy? Very.
I was worried that it wasn't different enough to warrant sticking with Samsung (I don't have a particular preference in company) - but I'm glad I did, it's simply the best phone on the market bar none - and it's going to take a heck of a lot to beat it...
Did I mention just how good the camera is??!
:)

Can anyone tell me if NFC will be supported on SGS2 with a software updatte ? or does this require hardware changes ?
