Handset has some nice features, the 3D pics look pretty funky, not tried the 3D video recording though.
Alarm clock is nice and loud and the vibrate function works great, can actually feel the phone vibrating.
4.3 inch screen is nice and viewable
OS is nice and user friendly (2.3 upgrade due in October)
Signal is awful - trusty N900 wins hands down and both handsets are on the same network.
Battery life - I have to inform you that all the reviews saying the battery life is pretty poor are completely mis-leading, I have found that the battery life isn't pretty poor at all.
THE BATTERY LIFE IS TOTALLY SHOCKING!!
I have yet to make a call, view a video, record a video or anything else that may use the power as I am afraid the battery may die.
I turn off everything - WIFI, GPS, 3G signal, lower the brightness so the screen can hardly be seen and I have still had to charge the phone twice a day, yesterday I sent a large video file (1.4gb) from my Nokia N900 to the LG via bluetooth, both handsets fully charged at the time transfer started, at the end of the transfer (around 1hr later) I had 13% battery left in the LG and 79% in the N900.
I spent the entire day yesterday in work and for 8hrs the LG was plugged in via USB cable on charge and by the time I then got home it still only had 67% charge - the N900 on the other hand still had 62% battery life and hadn't be plugged in charging all day.
Handset now being returned to store as it isn't a mobile phone it is just an expensive power draining paper weight!

typo error in start of 3rd line

lg optimus 3d is a well built android device with a better processor and im affraid thats it, the music player average, 3d is hologram and kills my eyes within 5 mins, there is no 3d in my opinion, camera is average im not convinced 3d will take off for hand held devices just yet, they have to make 3d not a moving hologram, and make it wwhere it does not mess around with someones eyesight

Main disadvantage... moreIt has the FM Radio chip (its usually already built-in the Bluetooth chip I believe) but is disabled in the current firmware due to bugs, or so I heard.
Its meant to be enabled in the Gingerbread update.

HTC sensation and evo 3d is slower in all benchmarks but gsmarena conclusion is that they have better Android performance compared to the Optimus 3D?

I just got the phone and amazingly it does 2D to 3D conversion all my pictures and videos I had on my SD card in real-time without any delay, mmm... a few more downloads I think! but the battery sucks tho!

This phone only has 512MB Ram? Thats kind of disappointing, however I am sure it will be more then enough for most users. Good to know its a high quality display
