BlackBerry Torch 9810 review: Buttoned-up

5 October 2011
A fresh dose of oxygen or a new torchbearer? It doesn’t matter which one you think RIM needed to keep the flame alive. They got both in the new BlackBerry Torch 9810. Double the processing power, the new sped-up and brushed-up...

Hi, this phone is a good device, one of the best BBs I've used. However can anyone please tell me how to solve the occasional heat-up of the phone? And how do I change the network from H+ to 2G? It seems difficult. Thanks

i have got the bb torch 9810 and i love it but in the past year i have had to change the phone 5 times because off the qwerty keyboard and the slide up thingy lol

but the thing that puts a downer on the phone is the battery i have to charge mine 2 times a day.

but overall its good i love it

I love the Bb torch 9810, I bought one sometime last week only to find out that I have to charge my battery like 3times a day...this scares me from using my phone maximally. What do I do?

The fact that it doesn't come out with a memory card is a big nay, it also freezes from time to time while busy using it. Either than that, I'm inlove with my phone, so wish the battery lasted longer though.

The lock/unlock button is the same as the 9800. I don't even use it as I use an app called Pattern Lock instead. Got it in BB App World. As far as the battery, the reason it isn't as good is because the new software does a lot more and the battery is a lot smaller. You have to make adjustments to backlight time out and brightness to save battery. Also, try updating to 7.1 software like I did. It will make a big difference in battery life

Hie, also acquired this awesome fone and I enjoy everything on it compared to my previous berries. However, there is one major weakness that I have noticed, it cannot save power coz the same way I was using my previous blackberries is the same way I am using this 9810 but the batteries power would stay long compared to my new torch. What can I do to have my battery last long?
