What i don't understand is why does Samsung pack such wonderful hardware specs and features into such rubbishly supported OS ?
And what wonders me the most, why are Wave 1 and 3 inside a metallic case, but higher end Galaxy phones are all made of freakin plastic. If you want a proper metallic phone you have to use stupid Bada, but if you want Android, you're limited to full plastic case. What gives!?
What i'm wondering even more is why doesn't Samsung offer all models with all operating systems? They have bunch of all the same phones on the market so why not release all 3 OS for 1 phone model? So i could chose between Bada, Android and WP7 for my GT-S8500. Great phone bogged down by retarded BadaOS.
Some ppl are trying hard to port Android to it but without specs it's a hard task. Samsung doesn't seem to be willing to help at all.

I bought waveII once & the pathetic experience made me to sell that in three months. don't wanna bet my hard earned on an experiment anymore!! why will I buy others if android & windows is available in the same price.Don't forget the pace of windows in creating apps..& the backbone of Microsoft. I don't think Its easy for Bada to survive.

I already buy Wave 3, now I can see that all of negative comment for this phone is useless.. I already get the feeling.. I'm not joking, but Wave 3 is simply amazing.. First, it have a body that make anyone want to touch it..
Second, your eyes will enjoy when saw its screen..
Third, it's so damn light for a steel..
Fourth, every body will ask in their heart "what the kind of type that phone??" when you just put to your pocket..
Yeah.. if you buy Bugatti Veyron then take it to your 'normal life street'.. I prefer buy Lancer Evolution X on it..
c'mon man, I'm not talking about superb phone, now it's show time for an only 950 malaysian ringgit phone..
So.. don't argue me with your more expensive phone, coz Wave 3 price isn't that expensive, especially for me...........

The disadvatages of Bada OS begin with no voip support which is an extreme must in a smart phone. I curse myself for being a Wave owner. Actually, samsung is cheating its bada users without giving timely updations, useful apps n afterall, voip. Its just like a cobra without venam or a lion without teeth!!! Its my personal advice that nobody should go for bada phones anymore.

Samsung is in trouble, wave 3 is not selling very good.
Samsung is delaying Bada 2 updates for wave 1-2 again and again.
Yes, it's a nice phone but lack of support.
They should brought a real flagship phone with more powerful chip, better camera etc.

titits, 16 Dec 2011everybody talking about thousand of apps...
i believe ther... moreI agree with you but bada os does not have any of the must have apps, most of bada apps are useless . recently samsung started to release a lot of free txt ebooks and count each as unique app while the truth is all these books can be gathered in a single app, also releases ugly themes and stupid travel guides and count each as an app ,and the aim in my opinion is to give a false impression that there are a lot of apps in market.
the apps count is 8000 and still no opera browser only u can download the java one which has memory issues,no google maps app,no skype,no angry birds,no medical apps, ucbrowser has a lot of issues......etc

s, 07 Dec 2011There's no battery life test - that's where Bada shines com... moreS8500 battery can last a week? Only if you use it for standby and nothing else I suppose. I was a light user and my S8500 had to be charged everyday.

I'm using Wave II (8530), everything is nice in this fone except the support of bada for using VOIP. samsung confirmed that there is no support for voip in bada 2.0 as well. Moreover in bada there is no option to deploy or install skype or yahoo messenger as we have in iphones.. if one wants to use only for taking pics, videos, listening audios, view videos, in/out calls/msgs, wave II n bada 1.2 OS are quite fine

Bada OS designed for multitasking so in terms of speed it beat iOS5,android and windows mango phone, I agree theres no too much apps available but when android entered in market it has also few apps

I am having wave-II. Samsung has not updated the phone after release. waiting for bada 2.0. Don't know about the future plans of Samsung about bada os.
On the other hands, Nokia brings update to their phones regularly. In my E63 period, I got updated every 3-4 months.

Had the Wave 8500. Beautiful screen, great music player, wonderful build quality, good OS but totally useless Apps. Ditched it to get an inferior piece of hardware which at least is great for messaging (WhatsApp)and skype, after all I want a phone for communication. Wouldn't buy another Bada phone.
