Just use any brand of Android phone fo... moreAt first I did like LG 2x but it always had big issues,except now on cm7 2.3.7 that LG and nvidia a whole year after released the source code,while galaxy r with also Tehran 2 handles 720p YouTube videos and browses so smooth as I have seen in YouTube,2x does hardly fair especially on browsing.

Just use any brand of Android phone for a while and you will see that they all got the same problems, more or less. Android is the problem, not LG. I too thought HTC was pure crap but then i found the same problems also in other brands (but not that much, HTC is extra cr@ppy coz of HTC Sense). After going through some phones i realized that there are no good android devices out there. SAme as computers, they all seem laggy and unresponsive and troublesome nowadays, regardless of hardware or brand, until you install Linux or WinXP and realize that the only problem was Windows 7 all the time. BUt you get used to it, people learn to live with Androids many flaws and seems to be happy about it, same as with Windows 7. Hey, people even got used to Windows Vista that was even more troublesome than Win7.
Bottom line: Dont waste your money trying to find a better android phone, they are all more or less the same.

rahil, 18 Feb 2012I really dont know much about the 2X but I just had a harro... moreHI, this is not a phone specific problem, its common on android devices and has been observed also on LG 2X (but rare). It is however very common on HTC, especially Desire Z seem to be very plagued by this. Havent yet observed it or heard about it on Xperia models, these seem to be more stable than other brands, dont know what they have disabled in the OS to avoid this bug.
Android is still in beta, google always try to add new stuff before old bugs are fixed, 2.3 should not yet been released, the most buggy version ever, and i am afraid 4.0 will be even worse. 2.3 has all the bugs from 2.2 and some new ones, regardless of brand.

The 2X has a great display, color reproduction is better than any samsung ever made, the 2X shines when put beside any AMOLED device. While 2X cannot compete with the contrast levels of AMOLED it is most convincing when it comes to displaying the correct colors, plus higher clarity and no color flickering (like for example the galaxy note is badly plagued with) and no visible grid (typical amoled problem that is very visible on both Nokia and Samsung).
HDMI support is also a good reason to get the 2X.

Optimus 2x is way better than Galaxy r.Mainly because R lacks the developer support compared to o2x.And yeah it much cheaper!

I really dont know much about the 2X but I just had a harrowing experience on purchasing the Galaxy R. The Galaxy R has a problem of 'Deep Sleep' or in simple words it just refuses to illuminate the screen after going into stand by mode. Made attempts to reach customer care however, no attempts to call or reply to my mails me were carried out by the company. On calling them the flimsiest of excuses were made. On searching the internet I found that that many customers have faced the same problem. I just want to forewarn all those who would read this feedback before purchase that they should think twice before buying a Samsung product and should definitely not purchase the Galaxy R.

Perhaps all should wait and get the new iPhone which will last you for years and not one of these which will be old news, out of date, and lost money within months.

I'm using Galaxy R for 1 month and boy this is nice looking phone and is fast too, no problems with bugs only once had to pull battery out, on LG this should me common for every day twice :D
Battery life is one day 24h with normal use,(1h some video playback over wifi 30 min of gameplaying), 15 min of calling, 5 messages... And with airmode when sleeping
